I tought Iron Man was about not trading with other players?
Original message details are unavailable.
Only allowed to buy items which cannot be made or gathered as a resource from shops
What's this about? Shops were an integral part of RuneScape and are a part of the iron man experience. They are a part of having and utilizing your knowledge about the game. Are you really saying that you are really not allowed to buy bronze bolts from the ranger NPC in Varrock? You can't buy best items, like glories from the shops, there is nothing wrong with buying items from shops. Buying items from shops is fine and should definitely be allowed.
In fact, who even invented such a rule in the first place? Some streamer? I have been doing my own ironman challenge and never followed such a rule, yet I concider myself a legit 100% ironman. Why? Because no player interaction. I use my own smart knowledge about the game to buy bronze bolts, for instance. Those that spawn on the NPC and are not made by players.
Iron man mode is about
no player interaction
. Buying from shops needs to be allowed, period. If that is such a big thing for some ironmen, then make it a part of the
HARDCORE
ironman challenge; not the regular one.
I believe regular ironman has never been about that, at least it hasn't been so for me(although, I don't follow the streamers on this regard). It's annoying if my ironman experience would be ruined because of 1 simple rule that some uber-hardcore people may have chosen to force upon themselves.
If this "rule" isn't changed, im afraid im going to have to vote "no" for it.
