The first dev blog mentioned a minimal risk requirement. What they intend to do about raggers preventing players from pvping (which is their sole intention), clans, etc is to remain to be seen though.

Great! This is encouraging... I know we don't have a Grand Exchange, thus we don't have a "Price Checker" tool. I assume the risk value is based off the alchemy value of your equipment. This could be a way to assume risk.

I would love to see clans be more active in PK'ing. I think it's more of a plus than a minus to see clans lure their targets to them. In the wilderness anything goes, and to me this is strategy! :)

one high ticket item could be a PRIMAL MAUL. it could be very slow but still very powerfull. this would also be good to add to corp if you dont want it here. another thing... put dragon claws in game please!!! thanks

Dragon Claws are currently in high demand and debate. They will surely be polled very soon! I hope! I want them and as is. Chaotic Maul was a very popular PvP item and I can see it being brought back. I do not believe this is the place.

Mod Reach has mentioned PvP raids. A lot of people complain (and need to shut up, they are 100% wrong) that it "sounds" too much like dungeoneering. If you've ever done a raid in WoW you understand just how amazing, interactive, social, and overall fun and challenging a raid is. This would be a fitting spot to have a boss drop it.

PLS RAIDS :D

5.) Understanding the content:
Simply put, some players just don't understand the content in question. = Dev Blogs.

Frankly, they rarely put enough info into the dev blogs for people to understand the content. Look at Artisan. Did anyone actually understand what were really going to be getting from that skill? Once you vote yes, it's in. You don't get to change your vote after you see what they actually implement.

Did anyone think that NMZ would become the best XP in the game when they voted for it? Or that it would crash prices for every item in its reward shop?

Did people understand that minigame teleports would come with the minigame chatrooms?

Maybe if Jagex provided more details, they wouldn't get so many "I don't get it" or "that sounds scary" NO votes from people who just don't trust them not to mess things up.

yea a primal maul would be good for raid boss or corp.. but yea dragon claws need to be brought back and we need variety.. also they need to drop the percent of votes to like 65 percent... 75 is way to high and when we get 60- 70 votes yes it just means they are making 70 percent of the people mad. when they are worried about making 25 percent mad.. come on.. but anyways i hope rewards pass and they their is some cooler rewards to come.

Mod Ash acknowledges this in his reply and explained how in-game polling would be able to offer solutions. He mentioned in-game links that the homepage could not do as well as the option to change your vote. This is part 1 of the solution.

Part 2 - Fix the number! 75% IS giving consequence to the game. Jagex staff has openly acknowledged bringing this topic into serious discussion on a high scale. These are bright people. I am sure they understand the downsides and biases as well as the effects it has on our game. If not, at least they surely understand that we had absolutely no say in the number.

I believe range/mage needs more attention before melee gets any more significant weapon updates.
OSRS Mage Tank.

Believe magic to only be for support? Think again. It's just as valid of a Pking style as melee and range is.

Below, I am re-posting Mod Ash's reply to my proposal to lower the polling system. He took my proposal very seriously and it got acknowledged on stream. Mod Mat K gave numbers and assurance that it could be brought into question. The only problem is that this is a community game and that they want to see a voice demand it. I told Ash, I do not have the time to open a thread about this. I go to college full time and have other hobbies.

Regardless, it is very necessary. I recommend all players to spread the idea to their friends and post their own threads about the matter. It really is time to get this idea to pass. If we wait, we risk seeing the effects on the Corporeal Beast, Dragon Claws, Bounty Hunter, New Continent, and other future polls. We've already let down up to 74% of the community before. Let's stop, NOW.

I will add my 2 pennies to this thread again...

I had a read through your comments on the first page.

If in-game polls happen - and I reckon they will, even if there's support for keeping the website poll form available too - I think they'll be a good opportunity to fix some of the problems.

By posting links in the questions to relevant bits of the blogs, we can (hopefully) get more people to understand what they're voting about. Plus we could link to pictures, etc.

We may even be able to let people go back to change their votes while the poll's still open. I'm not guaranteeing that for now, but I'm hoping it'll prove possible. That'd solve the frequent complaints from people who change their opinions but can't do anything about it. (Of course, we might also want to poll that before enabling it.)

If the 75% threshold is coming up for debate, I think it'd warrant its own blog and a much wider consultation, so I'm not going to try addressing it here.

Lately, I have noticed every content piece be overly hyped in an attempt to create a interest among the community. Dev Blogs, Hyped up twitter, Twitch streams and Q&A's, multiple Surveys and Polls! This may be because of how harsh we bash every piece of content.

I wouldn't call it "overly hyped".

We run surveys and polls to find out what we should be working on.
We write blogs to tell you what we're doing.
We run Q&As to answer questions about what we did, and what we're doing next.

This isn't hype. This is the bare minimum required to operate a community-driven game.

Can we throw in Mod Alfred's cosmetic upgrades that ever so slightly failed in the polls to this shop? I'd really like his concept for the dragon pick, and this way those who want the current Dragon Pick model can keep it, and those like me who liked the new one can buy some of these emblems to upgrade our items.
