This looks awesome and I really hope it passes this time!

One thing I was sad to see is that there was no level 1 (or bronze/iron) version of the duel crossbows. I can understand it's already a "combat" thing and I shouldn't make a fuss over something I can't use (as a lvl 3) because it's combat related...
BUT, it would of been awesome to have!

Looks great Jagex, can't wait to see the results!

So after reading the Dev Blog and some people's comments it looks like I will be voting yes to introducing Artisan.

It seems a lot of people are worried about an influx of people being able to runecraft double nature runes with the esoteric armour. Firstly, it takes level 84 Artisan to acquire the full esoteric set and level 84 in a skill is no small feat, it's not something that can be done in just a day or two.

Secondly people are vastly overestimating the number of people that will be runecraft double nature runes at level 88 RC. I just had a look at the highscore and only 110 people have between 88-90 RC, compared the the almost 700 people with 91+ RC, thats an influx of only 15% more people double runecrafting natures, even assuming all 110 acquire full Esoteric and want to runecraft natures.

Slayer is my favorite skill because you aren't grinding the same creature from 1-99 and it looks like Artisan could be a fantastic addition to Old School.

After initially opposing the Artisan's skill and preferring a complete new skill without the use of existing skills (such as Sailing), I now commend the final Developers Blog. I think the skill has now reached a finely-tuned balance and it will blend seamlessly with all the existing content, especially now you've looked carefully and thoughtfully to all the player suggestions. I'm confident the new Artisan's skill will now pass the judgement of the community as a whole. Thank you Jagex! I support!

I was really against a new skill; however, as a skiller, I am intrigued by this new "skill." I kind of like the idea of getting skiller assignments in a manner similar to slayer masters and it seems like it won't affect the economy in a negative way. I am not sure I like the esoteric outfit either like some others have mentioned. However, as a whole, I am pretty impressed with the skill because it doesn't seem to "change" oldschool much. I mean, you would still be skilling, but it might be more interesting for some to do it this way. I like the old fashioned way just fine, but this doesn't seem to be super complicated. So, I am considering on voting a yes this time. I am going to read more of the forum opinions first though just in case I missed possible consequences to our beloved old school. Oh...I'm mad... Here comes the rage post. Before I do, understand that I care for Oldschool Runescape and its community. I've done a lot, even as much as drop every last item I had to give "Joy" (pun intended) to the community. I want only the best! I am very angry that Jagex has wasted endless hours on this garbage skill.

Prepare 4 rage argument.

As a note, I was horrified to find out how "nightmare zone" allowed players to accelerate their xp rates and combat levels in old school. I was thoroughly disgusted with NMZ and its affects on fast and easily attained combat levels. I agree that Oldschool was created to BE oldschool without new ways to easily accelerate xp rates.
