Personally i would love this being added to 07. I feel like it would encourage people to skill more and it adds a new goal. I think it would be cool to have the slayer concept for skilling.

I think the reason it didn't pass is because people don't want oldschool to change. I understand that, but we can't think conservatively or else the game will for sure die. In order for the game to grow, we do need new updates for people to stay and play. It happened before god wars where the game slowly died, then godwars brought it back. Then the game slowly died again until more new updates were added. We need these updates for oldschool to continue to thrive as it has been doing. Don't think of it as turning into pre eoc but instead into the Runescape that could've been.

Also I think the skillcape color scheme should be black with gold trip :) black being similar to slayer as it's the same concept, and gold trim for the idea of artisan. It's perfect :)

You say it won't devalue existing skills but I'm seeing a lot of things here which seems like it would. One example is the runecrafting robes, enabling someone to craft double natures at 88 runecraft.

The other thing is you say it won't be efficient to train skills with artisan. This is not true for someone going for max total because you have to train artisan to gain max total. It forces you to train it.

The rewards and content in the skill is forced and desperate and doesn't add enough to the game without devaluing existing skills. So I will be voting no again and hopefully for the last time.

I would encourage anyone voting no to the skill as a whole to please at least vote yes to adding these as updates to current skills, as current skills suffer from a lack of usefulness and profitability in the end game. Specifically consider voting for the firemaking totems, runecrafting combination runes, and new resources to the gathering skills. This is basically our one chance to get a nice, long overdue skilling update, don't let it pass us by!

I'm gonna maintain that the majority of this stuff would be better suited as expansions of existing skills rather than a new skill all together. I'll be voting yes on most of it except making it a new skill itself. It's a lot of cool ideas, but I think it should all maybe tied to the new continent or something, not a new skill.

I love what ideas have been suggested for this skill. A lot of good thought has been put into this. I would love this skill be implemented and would not want to see the poll fail 69-31. One of the reasons against is are the Esoteric robes.

The idea is good, but part of this community feels this is a big change, as dozens of man hours seperate level 88 and level 91 runecrafting.

A solution could be that the Esoteric robes function like the explorer's ring 3 does for Rs3.

Instead of a level boost for multiple runes, give is a small % chance of an extra rune per essance.

I don't think this will be a fun skill. It seems like a bunch of mini updates put together and calling it a skill, forcing people to use the new skill rather than it being an option. The problem with this skill is that it doesn't stand on it's own. It needs another skill or other skills to make it good. I think there definitely could be a better skill made that is a singularity: like mining, fishing. It wouldn't require you to slave away, because let's face it, slayer is not the funnest skill. The game is suppose to be fun. I think it've been nice to have just put all the time and resources into sailing, why not? New continents, etc. Would have been epic. Sadly, I will be voting no for the artisan skill.

Also to take away the hard work of RC skill making double nats doable at 88 takes away from the hard work put into those accounts. Don't do that to them. This isn't shortcutscape it's workhardberewardedscape. Or at least, that's how I remember it was suppose to be..
