Artisan combines other skills? Sort of like how you need 28 cons and 99 smithing to put rune armour in your POH?

Why do we need Artisan to combine skills?

1) Fillets: I'd rather the effect be 100% but you have a chance to make the fillet where if you fail, the herb is destroyed

2) Artisan tools: These are cool. Remove the harpoon because we have barb-tailed harpoon already?

3) Totems, carvings, skilling bracelets: Directly increase the amount of resource you get from other skills? No thanks!

4) Two-handed crossbows: I don't see why we can't do it like RS3.

5) Slow burners: These are cool.

6) Combining runes: Add it to RC? Why do we need Aritsan?

7) Con shortcuts: Add it to Construction?...

8) Figurines: These are useless so I don't mind it.

9) Clothing: ADD IT TO CRAFTING?!

What happens if artisan doesn’t pass?
- thank you I am looking forward to this! There are definitely some cool ideas here like the shortcuts so I will vote for those, but not Artisan as a whole.

If this doesn't pass will you guys try to implement a different skill?

If so... might I suggest a highly revised summoning >_>

Agreed, that or sailing, which was ignorantly excluded from the PDC.

Edit: Also wouldn't mind seeing dungeoneering as a mini-game if it didn't offer OP rewards.

All of this sounds extremely cool, and unlike a bunch of people, I'm not against the whole assignment part of it. I think it'll work better than granting experience just from making the items, since it's more about utilizing all skills rather than just a select few, so by simply not allowing people to not just practice certain two skills and get a really high artisan level off of those two to make items to benefit those specific skills anyways (or make other skills easier/faster to level), and instead forces people to reach all around the board of skills.

So yeah, I'm all for every single bit of this. I'd definitely like to see more added to this skill as time goes on, but for right now the already added stuff will definitely satisfy my needs.

I'm confused about the runecrafting totem? Teleport you to a random altar that you cant't choose? ....but why?
so you don't make 20k nats/hr?

Will vote no on all questions, hopefully if this fails that's the last we see of anything artisan related.

Very quick RC XP... Make a bunch of these totems and have a go at it.

Best RC xp right now is lavas; imagine that you don't have to run anywhere, and quite often you will craft high level runes to boot.

what a crock of s*** bring new players back pahh make me laugh people only play old school because you guys havent ******** it and ruined it like rs3 bring this skill to osrs and watch members leave focus on current skills instead of gettin ahead of yourself do what the players want we dont want this if this goes ahead i for one will be quitting being a member from 2004 till now would be a shame having to leave the runescape commuinty but im fed up with playing a game that just gets ruined time and time over

I think the Esoteric robes will be the main reason why this Skill doesn't pass a poll as a whole. I like the idea of adding things in here in there if the poll does not pass but I don't particularly want to have a brand new skill in the game. If I wanted to train new skills I would play RS3. I'm fine with new additions to the old version of Runescape but I don't like the idea of a new skill which messes with the very idea of Oldschool.

And I agree with the people before me who feel that being able to runecraft double nats AT ANY POINT BEFORE REACHING LEVEL 91 RUNECRAFTING is ridiculous. 91 is the most desirable runecrafting level before 99 for a reason.
