What I would like to see on the new continent is a port city that is the new main trade hub. There should be a new tele-tab, a new teleport spell in the normal spell book (or in a new spell book unlocked on the new continent) and possibly other teleport options in Varrock and Falador banks that allow players to teleport directly to the centre of this massive trading complex. Since the city would be on the coast there would also be docks that would take you to the various other ports on the mainland and on the new continent itself.
In order to not split the trading community between several locations we should have a teleport option within the banks of Falador and Varrock so players may teleport easiliy from the old trading hubs to the modern one.
In the centre of the city there would be the trading post, surrounded by outliers of open land devoted to each individual skill. Each skill will be neighboring the skill that goes hand-in-hand with that particular skill. For example, Woodcutting would have the fletching area on one side and firemaking on the other, next to firemaking there would be the cooking area which would be next to the fishing area, etc.etc.
I visualize the entire trading area as a giant circle or square. The center of the circle or square is the trading post and bank. Between the trading post and the area devoted to each skill for trading there would be a bank (one bank for each side of the square plus the trading posts bank) for easy access to a player’s bank so they won’t have to run back to the trading post’s bank if they are trading within the devoted area.
(Going outward from the center you see trading post, then one of the banks, then the areas for trading.)
I hope for the trading post to be able to make trading efficient, but still have a devoted area for trading in a nice and orderly fashion (completely unlike Varrock bank) to help players who will still trade the old fashioned way to quickly find players to trade with.
Continued.
