Create an abandoned mine - Yes another one.
Inside of it you need a light source as it is always dark. You can light the room by lighting the torches. The torches will distinguish on their own.

When there is no torches, or the mine is not well lit, monsters will spawn at random - this is multi-combat area and the monsters and aggressive. The monsters that spawn are: A spider, A zombie, An archer skeleton (with good range accuracy), slime cubes, and a shrub that explodes on contact.

You can call this abandoned mine: MineShaft! Haha

Having your own light source will light the room for visibility but will not stop the monsters from spawning. To stop the monsters from spawning you have to light the torches.

This place is a good mining spot and the monsters should have good loot as it will provide a conflict for miners and PVM. Want to mine? Light the torches... want to kill turn off the torches. Since the torches distinguishes on their own miners have to be pay attention on what is going on.

In my opinion, a cool city would be a city covered in lava. I mean, instead of having regular water ports, this city has lava ports. In order to enter this city, the player requirement has to be high (80-90 in most skills or something like that). Players with the ability of entering this city will enjoy of good locations to do skilling, a cool PvP/Pking area (access to the wilderness but with cool lava pits and whatnot). The city will be connected through lava channels, and boats will be created that can support the heat of lava (this is where construction kicks in). If the player does not have a high construction level, then agility kicks in.

As for how the city looks, I imagine a dark city, with its own architecture (maybe caves?). In the middle, there's a huge magical volcano that summons the power of nature to change different aspects of the city. There are several questing requirements to enter this city--maybe new quests? The city can be called Volcanica or something like that.

Another city I am looking forward to see implemented in the game is a chinese port town, you know, with all the strange-looking houses, and chinese NPC* with new outfits that characterize ancient chinese civilizations.

New Farming Patches and New Crops to Farm Specific to the climate in Zuranium, the new continent. New herbs to farm, New potions to boost non*b skills eg. crafting potions mining potions maybe a new supercharged prayer potion that does 5 extra prayer points but requires like 95 farming to farm and 95 herblore to make.

As for monsters, I've been seeing Lizardmen for awhile I think thats dope. T-rex boss inside a giant crater sounds cool, maybe with many minions like pterodactyls that attack you nonstop like spinolyps at dagannoth kings. could be a T-rex boss, a Megasaurus that throws things at you for a ranged based boss, and some kind of weird mystical dinosaur boss with an ancient shaman on it that posesses it for magic attacks and they can be similar to dag kings, but tougher.

The continent can have, in general, a darker more evil look to it's entirety that requires a high level quest to get to. Say, recipe for disaster would be a requirement for the quest that gets you onto the new continent so that you have your fun exploring the Huge Gleilnor before you even get to explore a new continent of the same magnitude. The continent can be more high-level focused in most areas with acidic environments and dangerous unknown species with just a crazy weird awkward look to them and call them "unknowns". they randomly attack with melee, range, and mage, and when they spawn they may all be similar but slightly different, but their attack/strength/defence/range/mage is randomized to be like pures or mains, and you have no way of knowing which ones are invulnerable to mage/range/melee but once you find out which ones weak to what you can kill it. it could be a slayer monster with a new melee weapon drop called Mysterical Conscious, which you can alternate between attack, strength, or mage-based melee similar to salamander. i'm not saying make it extremely overpowered, but in pk fights if they pray melee you can switch to mage-based melee and your opponent wouldnt know.

I think this the expansion is a great ideal. I have been playing rs since 2005 and seen lots of good improvements and bad improvements. This expansion offers variety, that us old school players seek to better our gaming experience. Great job runescape.

Expanding on the idea of a coliseum--it sounds a lot like TzHaar Fight Pits, though with the prize being cash which is awesome. Maybe at the same time you can extend the Fight Arena north of Yanille to be a little more useful--create another version of TzHaar Fight Caves where there are stages of NPCs in an ongoing fight--those who make it through the challenging coliseum gain a new reward as useful as the fire cape.

Moving on to the port--I like the idea of the port but in that case I think that boats should be expanded--as mentioned previously in this thread. Though I think the ability to construct and sail ships in runescape's waters would be amazing. Not just set locations but anywhere (that would be a major project I know but just an idea). And perhaps with a very high construction level (if that is used for ship making) you can make a ship which can go underwater in order to travel to Atlantis (another idea mentioned elsewhere in this thread). Or maybe just you have to find your way to atlantis in the water and dive down below to get there. Certain people at the new Port know about Atlantis, it's location, and how to get there but they won't tell you unless you have their trust (quests).

Though I have no particular preference as to the continent's theme--I do recommend that it is different from the themes that currently exist. I've seen Eastern said a lot which I can agree with and I've seen lots of Lizard Man/Dinosaur ideas which would be fine :P To make it attractive to players it should definitely have accessibility (elf land is a pain to get to), should have useful resources/enemies/goals (elf land is only good for, well charging my crystal bow...).

I look forward to the continent and/or any other new adventures that are to come!

Also.. you should make it so I can get back on Ape Atoll without having to get Defence XP... T_T

Please Jagex, if quests are integrated on the new contnent as mentioned, stay away from defence exp rewards from them, as I wouldn't want to start my Zerker again to gain possibly better equipment.

That's all I'm asking for, thanks.

I'm a huge fan of open world games, namely Bathesda ones; mostly because they're the only ones that get it truly correct. What I'd love to see is rewards for exploration, which can be done in various forms. There could be xp rewards for, say, going into a dungeon that you have never been in before; or randomly spawning chests that have new cosmetic, or useful gear. Herbs that cannot grow in seeds or dropped by monsters (potions to go along with it). Ore that cannot be dropped. Random events such as a npc walking about, then falling under attack by a highwayman, would add a lot of immersion into the game; going off of the example, you could choose whether to assist the highwayman for a share of his loot, or the citizen who will award you rightfully. And there could be larger events that only happen every so often, like the coup of a king; you can either defend or help; which lends itself into world PvP. Also, World bosses. What I'd like to see is a huge world boss that spawns once every few hours, much like the demon event in the main game. This would bring people together, make for a more social feel, and add quite a bit to this new continent. But please make sure these new bosses have real mechanics.
I'd also like to see an in-game casino. Slot machines, roulette, alcohol, (maybe even flowers ;D). This will be ran by NPCs, obviously, so there is no chance of getting scammed, and here is the real kicker. You don't bet money. You bet items. Let's say you just fletched 1000 crossbow stocks. No one is going to want them, so you go convert them to casino currency based off of the alch value (this currency would be non-tradeable) to use in the games of chance. You then can win gold or items. This could also make room for dragon claws, which can only be obtained via gambling.
And a scorpion island, with various levels of scorpions up to a huge ass boss scorpion that drops a blue variation of the fire cape.
Too bad this will all be lost in the void of the
