Here is my suggestion for the new continent:

- In this continent there are many villains to fight. They camp on roads, outside cities, on the forests, etc. They walk around looking for someone to fight, they are dangerous beings and want to steal from you. They are like the highway men but actually hard to fight.

- There are a set number of villains around the continent. Let's say there are always 10-15 and they are in groups of 2-4. They are roaming free around the world, so in one minute they could be in one plays and in the next another place. They are always moving, they are always hiding. They hide under bushes sometimes, or behind trees. You will never find a villain in the same area. They can move around at any time.

- The drops can be determined by you. I suggest that for fighting villains you gain reputation with a certain race like the gnomes. Higher reputation will give you the ability to buy better items from their shops. New quests could also give reputation, as well as tasks, etc.

I like this a lot. Especially building up reputation, which will give people something to work for (replayability) IF the rewards are worth it.

Support, building up reputation to make certain cities view you as heroes/wanted criminals would be a pretty cool mechanic. Glad they're incorporating this into Port Roberts.

Reputation and notoriety play a big part in the Port Roberts areas.

I think a chain of smaller islands leading to the new continent would be a cool idea( the largest being about the size of Entrana). They could be included as part of the trade route between Port Roberts and the mainland. Each island could be "famous" for their higher concentration of new resources that would otherwise only be found in small quantities and scattered about on the new continent.

Each of these islands could also be involved in a new quest that rewards us with access to the new continent. (Of course, the quest should be accessible by everyone ).

Also, would there be anyway to add unpredictable weather patterns to the continent? Every 24 hours there'd be a random chance for the weather to change. This would help add to the uniqueness of the new area.

For example:

- Water skins to protect you from taking damage from the hot sun (just like in the desert).

- A rain effect to layer over the screen (similar to the snow effect). This could increase players' chances of catching fish while fishing and make crops grow a little faster.

- A snow effect (similar to above) that would require you to stay warm some how and make your crops go slower or have a higher chance of dying (if proper counter measures aren't taken).

I'd say if you were to add Corp, you might as well add the New Prayers. Corp was the beginning of Overpowered Runescape. I do like how there will be a new Continent, however. You want to prevent a dead continent? Then add the Trading Post in The new continent. Will basically have players going to it to put up trades to sell/buy items and have them possibly explore around a bit.

I don't think the new continent should have a quest requirement to access. And if it does, the requirements need to be very low. An update this big should not be restricted to solely higher leveled players.

Ladders and rewards in the coloseum would be sick! Maybe make a non-staked version and staked versions of it so that people can have two ladders to climb and be competitive on. Also, why not add a reward shop? By giving the winner of the match x amount of points for every win and maybe a couple points for losing. Also, what about like 2v2 or 4v4 or even 16v16 games which have people grouped together randomly like pest control or in teams like dungeoneering. Also, to support spectating we could offer a temporary prayer, health or stats boost for spectating a certain amount of time while a duel is undergoing and maybe even give a cosmetic if they're there for a significant amount of time (say 48 hours in-game). For the rewards shop, we could add a few useful items for combat like food and potions but also a couple of new items that could be helpful in combat but not by an increase damage output or defences.

I think the new continent is an awesome idea that I've been waiting for a while! Why not name it something that is traditional within Runescape? I'm thinking a somewhat exotic name would work as this is an exotic area of Gielinor. How about... solvion ?

Solvion is a combination of the latin words of sun and new (where new is turned into an anagram).

EDIT:
Also, it would be nice to make a few low-level training areas as well as medium and high (med and high being the more prominent to not draw too many low-levels away from the main continent) and also it should be made difficult to access for lower levels in the same way that getting to camelot as a low-level is. This means that there should be a high-chance of death if their levels are too low but the rewards should make it worth while for them to take a chance at it. This way we could all enjoy the new continent. A quest requirement to go the the new continent should not be pursued as that will diminish the amount of explorers exploring (which is the point of the new continent, right?)!

For the
under water city
would all of the stores/banks be connected where your character can breath encased in glass? or different bubble type glass structures where you would need your scuba gear to get from store to store etc...

I'm hoping it'll be in a pretty lost-city and disconnected style, so you'd have to resurface to get more supplies or drop things off.
