- Firstly, how would you like the community polls to work? For instance, what degree of consensus should be required?

51% is definitely nowhere near good enough to add in updates. This is because while 51% may agree on a certain update, it could very easily upset others, and this will continue with each update until most people are generally dissatisfied with the game.

I recommend an 80% majority in order for an update to pass.


- Secondly, what content changes would you like to see shortlisted for the first polls?

Changing some of the content back to older versions is a good idea, and fits the purpose of old school servers. For example, have a poll on the new monster graphics vs old monster graphics for demons, dragons, giants, etc. Do the same for locations, such as old vs new Falador. In addition, have a poll for the original versions of the songs from 2006 and earlier (they were updated in March 2007).

In addition, have a poll on removing the Wilderness Ditch; it is not a well liked update among veterans..

Do NOT add updates like HD Graphics or the GE. They are not a part of old school RS.

make so for a thing to be added, a vote has to be 75% or 80% in favour of the update. we can't have a vote 51% in favour vs 49% agaisnt/not caring as we'll end up with a unhappy community.

Also have the poll open on log in or on the side of the page, though perhaps make a poll on the side and one on log in and see which people like the most. And make sure you only include one update per poll as perhaps some people want one thing on the list and not another. Also on the poll put a link to the forums if people want to talk about it more in depth

oh and make it so any major or larger updates only be put in a poll if the population can sustain it. Don't add another minigame just because people want it as you might kill other ones in the making, though the idea of another is nice, its more nice to be playing with different players in a full match all the time rather then the same players in a half full match.

Hi guys the only thing ingame that really annoys me is that when you click to go somewhere your guy backtracks first, would be nice if this could be fixed ^.^ Oh and thanks for the old servers back!

1 request: Could we have a Low Detail mode? The game runs perfectly fine on my machine but I can't stand buildings having non-removable roofs.

Hi Tyria Mine, I'm sorry you view it this way, but I think you've misunderstood the poll levels. We said that at 250k votes there would be "basic" maintenance from a "small team". At 500k votes this would upgrade to "weekly" level of maintenance from additional developers. You can see this on the poll page or the old school wiki.

We've worked hard to be open and clear about the poll and about the Old School service, so it's unfortunate if that hasn't come across in this case.
