Exciting stuff! Can't wait to see what the new clothing looks like and should be interesting to run over rooftops of towns I've never ever imagined being able to do that in. :P Only thing is I do really hope that these new courses (especially the lvl 90 Agil one) won't surpass the current xp rates of Ape atoll/dorgesh-kaan courses by alot.

I'm not really fond of the to-my-eyes overpowered rewards for completing these courses. The whole set together make your weight so much lower than how it actually was in 2007. It makes your weight -25(!), while the lowest weight back in 2007 was only -13 (penance gloves, boots of lightness and spottier cape). I think the xp-gain for doing the agility courses is already fine as a reward, an additional outfit like this isn't needful.

I don't have any complaints about the courses but in general I don't think it's needed to spend so much time on new game content for OSRS. I'm especially against content that makes the game easier; now it's an agility suit that makes your lowest weight almost double of how it used to be (-25 weight compared to -13), and next time perhaps a variant of woodcutting ivy's would be added, who knows. if this trend continues it will no longer feel as the nostalgic 2007 game; it would become another EasyScape under the name "2007" or "Old School".
Feel free to take a look at my suggestions: 200m xp prestige

As an Old School player and a level 3 skiller, I find myself in a somewhat, "grey area" with this idea. When I first glanced at it, I was beyond excited to do some roof top running. I could also imagine more shortcuts added. (Example: Climbing to the top of the Varrock Museum and finding a birds nest.) Rewards, of course, matching the level it requires to use the shortcut to reach them. It would be a pretty nice but small addition to the skill.

For xp rates.. Touchy for everyone to think about it but, I would hate for this to turn the Agility cape on 07 into the Runecrafting cape on RS3. In other words, making it one of the "easier" capes to achieve. Maybe set each course's rate slightly lower or the same as the courses we have now for lower levels. For 85-99, perhaps raise it a bit to reward those players who have spent the time to gain such levels.

Its really a bittersweet idea to me but, if done correctly, it shouldn't impact the scarcity of the awe-inspiring Agility cape. My other concern, is that if it does reach the goal to be added into the game, please make sure it is available for all players/accounts/pures/etc. Choosing the non-combat way is a sacrifice I've chosen but, myself and plenty others wouldn't want to be left out of something that could be so big. I hope this doesn't impact other skills as well. For now, I have no vote on this. I can only hope everything works out.

Keep it nostalgic.

alright you're not understanding anything i'm saying. i want reasonable xp/hr and you think anything 60k+ at 85 is devaluing agility. done.

65k/hr is reasonable though, that was the experience/hour for agility until the 2009 update with advanced courses. I don't see why 07 needs to get experience/hour similar to the main game, unless you want 07 to receive updates like LRC/Runespan/Herblore Habitat as well?

Before Dorg got trashed in 2009 to make those advanced courses the 'best" to use at 85 it was capable of earning about 63k exp per hour, IF you could manage a long stint without falling in the low 90s and it can already yield 60k per hour at mid 80s if you get lucky with those falls and you bring lots of energy restore pots.

Rates at these new courses should be roughly equal to rates already available at current courses at that level.

This makes them just an alternate rather than a primary method and the choice of what course to use would be based on what gives less boredom rather than exp rates.
Ha ha, made you look ;)

This may seem like such a petty comment, but I think despite the tantrum I threw at GWD returning... I may actually return myself solely due to this update. Cheers to the players and to the OSRS staff! :)

Well I was just thinking, is it really fair to add an update to the game when it didn't even get 4k votes. You always say if you don't like then don't vote but what if we don't vote and most people don't, but you still add it to the game. Then it gives support to the people who say the polls are rigged.

You always need to have an option on polls that says I don't like these ideas.

No, I believe she's just asking for level 3's to not be greatly effected by the update which can be made possible.
