I think there is potential here; 9 new courses is going to add a lot of variety to Agility, however I agree that, that doesn't really help make agility more useful and simply increasing xp rates isn't something Agility needs in OSRS either.

The idea of allowing us to reach places we once couldn't is a perfect fit for Agility however if they are just courses, and most people don't want them to be faster or at least much faster than exisiting courses, will they become dead content?

Personally I think the weight reduction gear is a nice addition but once you have it then what? Agility seems to me like a skill that can and in ways already does help out in other skills, but currently I don't think there is any area besides courses that doesn't have alternatives to agility shortcuts.

My idea: Rooftop Imps and Rooftop Implings
Skills that could be incorporated into this update: Hunter (implings), Thieving (imps or chests), Slayer (perhaps the attackable imps could require a slayer level or not), Herblore (imps could have 100% drops or common drops of new ingredients for new potions)

Several things could be done here; there are 9 new proposed courses in total, for each of the 9 courses a corresponding level requirement or level of the imps themselves could be implemented.

For EX. LVL 10 course (Draynor) has imps and implings that fly around (could be combined into a single NPC) of which a hunter lvl or slayer lvl or thieving lvl of 10 would be required to pickpocket, catch or kill. Where Seers, a level 60 course, requires your other skills to be level 60 as well. So each new area is a course that also leads to new content for other skills only reachable BY Agility.

OR maybe it should be a single NPC and the higher lvl courses could have more abundant spawns. OR maybe there would only be one or two spawned per world on a random rooftop and a higher agility lvl is more beneficial simply because you can reach more areas having a higher chance of coming across the imps

I noticed that alot of players talked about how this game should stay the way it is and shouldn't be updated. Others worry about the game becoming too easy again. Here is what i have to say.

I believe this game should be updated. What if we can make this game better without removing the core of the game such as the old epic graphics? What if we can veer off in another direction without GE's, Pjers(dclaws for example), Easy xp options such as runespan that ruins a skill, etc? What if we can make a game that is updated without making things easier? This update is one of them.

What worries some is this update might make things easier, but that can be fixed before it happens! With the lore of finding hidden statues and tokens that get cosmetic armor, these courses should be less about fastest xp, and more about the cosmetic and lore aspect.

If that didnt make sense, let me try to explain in a different way. Now think about the number of ways to get a 99, such as fishing. The fastest way is to fly-fish as this is fast and you just drop the fish. A slower way, but gives more profit would be fishing things like tuna, lobs, swordfish, monkfish, and sharks to 99. As one focuses more on xp, the other focuses more on profit. I believe this is how this update should be implemented. It should focus more on the cosmetic and finding statues then xp (it should still reward xp, but not as much as some of the other areas that should be focused more on xp and not cosmetics).

That is all i have to say. Thank you

that would be a pretty neat addition!

I was sort of hoping that this update would be like how you mentioned. I'm much against these rooftops being as powerful as our current courses. Your idea allows for it to be worthwhile even if you are done obtaining the graceful armor without making skills significantly easier (assuming that the other skills aren't devalued in the process).

if for instance this update was mixed with some thieving, at a few sections of the lap there are chests, these chests can only be attempted once per lap, succeeding gives rewards that scale up with the higher level courses and require the same thieving level as the course requires in agility. Failing the chests does damage, succeeding has the potential to earn loot (some being common, some things being rare) and thieving exp. Alternatively ignoring the chests gives better agility exp as you're not distracted by these chests.

Yes please!
