The d hide nerf is just ridiculous, armour that has been in the game for around 20 years is suddenly so seriously overpowered that you are invoking a right to nerf it without polling it.

Going on this assumption you can invoke this right for anything you choose which is not what was promised when old school started.

After this all trust will be lost just as it was when you forced eoc onto us years ago and most of us left.

All these should be polled and if they where i wouldnt be complaining.

Regarding Equipment Rebalancing
Instead of changing the stats of the blowpipe (Bp), increase its cost of use to maintain dps metas. The increase could be done by having to charge the Bp with coins like the Trident of the Seas in addition to the way we charge it today. That'd lead to less overall usage, usage mostly at bosses and a money sink. I think a higher cost of use would justify the Bp's high dps. Regarding Equipment Rebalancing

Hi Everyone, I took some time to put together a document outlining an alternative idea for the blowpipe. This was written for the J mods but I would honestly love everyone's opinion on it if you have the time to look at it. :) It is very long but please if you just want the general idea of it then you can just read the short blue text or if you have a bit more time the full proposed section holds the most important info. I really spent a lot of time on this and I do think it could be a good way to find a middle ground between the OSRS community and the changes Jagex are looking to implement. This isn't a game integrity issue. This is a group of people making a unilateral decision. You're fooling yourselves if you believe it's a game integrity issue.

The game will slowly die if you continue with this course of action.

This needs to be voted on. Every single proposal needs to be put to a vote. No compromises will help you maintain the trust you still have with the community.

Jagex should humbly withdraw this proposal.

Being humble isn't a sign of weakness. Only the strong can be humble. The lack of ability to do something doesn't make one humble or meek.

Only those with power who decide not to react with force are truly humble.

You know, when I first started playing oldschool runescape, I wanted Jagex to just leave it as it is... partially out of fear that Jagex would push some change in.. and partially because I loved the oldschool feel/difficulty. I was more than ok with the decision to make it community driven, though, since I knew the community would have our back (there's a bit of mistrust because of the changes of... removing wilderness/free trade... and EOC in rs3). I loved this game, and loved that Jagex respected the community for once. I can't say I fully agree with the degree that we've voted to change this game, but... it still was democratic and still had somewhat of an oldschool feel. It makes me really sad to see this same elitist "we know better than you" behavior manifesting again. Ultimately the community is just as much a part of the game, and to undermine polling.. even once... will be its real death. Maybe this is on purpose... they're trying to get us to quit so they can be like... hey guys... we messed up... lets start over again? I don't know... but what I do know is... if a major update like this gets pushed in without a poll it'll be the end of runescape for me and I'm sure for many others permanently. Such a shame.

My friends and I have discussed this at great length and we wanted to address two statements.

*Last week we released the first iteration of our proposed plans to tackle some Equipment Rebalancing changes that will benefit the game's long-term health
(and anger thousands of players, but we dont care what you think this is our game, and we decide whats best for you so sit there and take it)

* Before we go through the newly revised Toxic Blowpipe changes, we’d like to take a moment to step back and reiterate why we feel change is necessary
(even though most players dont feel it was necessary since it has been in the game since 8 January 2015 and we were too scared to do a poll because we already know what the answer would be so power to the players is just a gimmick, its not actually real. this is our game, we are the gods not you this is our game not yours, so you need to chill out and get gud)



This is a very slippery slope, Tread carefully. You shouldn't have such a one track mind, too many people have already pushed back against this, so much so that you now say you aren't going to nerf it as much, you shouldnt nerf it at all at this point. Just look at the path you are headed towards... Whats to stop you from reworking other stuff now, no poll, no vote, no voice, just feedback after your mind is already made up. what about our minds. What about our minds as players...

And even though the minds of some players have already been posioned and warped by you into thinking that this is necessary even though blowpipe has been in game since 8 January 2015 and I have literally never seen a single person once in 6 years once riot or beg for this nerf to even occur. You are forgetting 1 very important thing... We play the game way more than you guys. Way more. I dont even use a blowpipe that much any more but i have fond memories of using it as a wee lad and I wouldnt have done half the stuff i did without it. taxes for the church, taxes for the mayor taxes for the sherrif, taxes for the king... its a wonder there is anything left to eat,
does it look like i've struck gold here?
