Dinh's Bulwark: Cool! This item already had barely any use other than anti-pking or providing excellent defense whilst training at the chaos altar. I take it a few pvpers who risk approximately 50-100k in gear were angry they couldn't kill a person who is literally taking a 6 million gp item. I hadn't bought this item yet, but I sure as heck don't see any use for it now that it's already niche use has been reduced yet another time. No further comment.

Dhides: to be honest I kind of agree with this one, unpopular opinion. Black Dhide is super easily accessible and shouldn't be carrying the current stats it has. Again, you were a little too eager with the reduction, don't make it as strong as the current green dhide, be a bit more generous.

Tbow: Sure, the prayer bonus isn't the prime aspect of the tbow in the first place, this won't change much.

All the buffs you propose seem reasonable. It's good that a few ideas seem like the right idea, but the nerfs you propose are seriously beyond reasonable. Again, I hardly think our feedback is reason for you to go back to the drawing board and more an indication for you to see how many people will be ticked off due to these changes, but those are my two cents anyhow.

The Warhammer and spear changes are good and have been long needed. I also think since both scimitar and longsword are mainly slash that there should be a bigger disparity between the accuracy for the scimmy and the str for the longsword so they would both have a practical niche.
Though I like the change for the metal armors, it's still really just a half measure since chain still doesn't have a complete set. you need to introduce a chain leggings and kilt/skirt for the sets to be complete. Chain is the only basic gear in the game without leg slot gear. This would also enable them to be made into GE 'sets' like the plate sets have, with med helms and square shields finishing out the set.

This is a horrible idea. Ruining truly historic items because it makes making a silly 3rd iteration of raids more profitable is not the way to go. When you inherited OSRS there was an understanding you were going to be respectful of the content therein. Making huge changes, not because of game breaking bugs, but because you want Raids to poop out more 1-2bill gp items is really wrong.

Unfortunately I feel like this will mark a similar trajectory to how RS3 met its downfall. We cannot keep changing the game because Jagex wants the next BIS. There is nothing wrong with adding more mid/low level gear with an interesting twist. It's been done before and it can be done again. Changing some of the pillar stones of gear is a really cheap move.

Overall I'm disappointed and should this update go through I'll be a lot more likely to move away from OSRS, just like I did with RS3. I'm sure I'm not the only one with this mindset.

Nerfing the blowpipe was inevitable, but some of these proposals are just like added filler and serve no purpose. For example, the twisted bow prayer nerf? Its a 1 bil+ item and +4 prayer is too over powered? Makes no sense.

Also, if you want to claim protection of game integrity, maybe jagex as a whole (not particularly the dev team) should consider the flaws in account security, customer support and bots/item farming... Maybe the blowpipe (and scales) would hold there value if places like zulrah weren't farmed.

Like the updates - HOWEVER - For people to solo bosses you've just made it really hard. Blowpipe being nerfed so much really makes soloing some bosses alot more difficult for poor returns. Alot of the godwars bosses - arma good example - The return is awful unless you get a unique. lower lvl players are spending few hundred k a trip for returns of like 50k.

Other issue - When we going to fix the rare drop table?? - ITS AWFUL - half a shield rare as hell and its worth 60k.? That needs fixing.

It took 8 years but we're finally on the edge of the slope we all said didn't exist. Staring straight down at a huge combat integrity change that the J Mods insist we need and we cannot vote on.
The worse part is that I'm not baffled by this. The number of unpolled changes, ignored poll results, restrictions placed on questions and disregard for OG content has risen over the last few years so no matter what I say here doesn't matter.

but here it is for the record

I think Old School has power creep but pretended it didn't through artificially low item requirements. The adjustments to requirements in Shed No Tiers and Nerfing the Nerf-able sections would probably fix those issues.
As for the rest of this post it feels like you're just searching for things to balance for no reason, especially when it comes to OG items such as dragonhide, plate armour, maces & darts. I honestly cannot see why changing these items and the meta at their associated levels are crucial for the games integrity.
RIP Forums :(
Finally we have signatures in the surprise forum update. I'm Lewis, I play Old School & I've been playing since 2005.

What mainly concerns me about this update is not the content of it, but the context. I feel as though individual players are increasingly having less and less input into the game's content. This is the second major update to the game that is largely unpolled, much like death mechanic reworks. While I think both gear rebalancing and death mechanic changes are necessary for the game's longevity, I'm concerned that Jagex will continue to push other updates that are for "game health" but actually not wanted by a vast majority of players. More and more it seems people on Reddit and especially YouTube are the real ones who have more say than anyone else. Additionally, the polled content OSRS players actually get to vote on are all essentially shoo-ins, as the content polled is vastly unimportant to the game (pet reskins, minigames, QOL changes are all things most people wouldn't vote no for). Also, it feels a bit hypocritical for Jagex to push updates about "game health" when we still have sponsored microtransactions in the form of bonds. I understand Jagex is in a difficult situation trying manage game integrity while also listening to the feedback of players, but I think there needs to be more transparency about what are necessary updates / changes fore game health, versus what Jagex wants to change.
