So I like most of the changes so far, I'd say I'm an endgame player with having done the inferno, many raids and tobs, having close to a 3b bank etc so thats where my point of view is from. I really like the changes on the faceguard and basilisk knights, this opens up more room to add maybe a better helmet in the up coming end game content which is good imo. I agree with the buffs to crystal armor as they feel completely irrelevant atm and would be nice to see them being used more. So in general i agree with all the changes except the blowpipe nerfs. I've always wanted the blowpipe to get changed or nerfed because of how cheap it was and how meta it was in so many different places but these nerfs are going wayyy too far, its almost unfair especially in the inferno, it changes things like the kill time of mobs before the meleer digs, how fast the ranger dies at zuk etc. I agree the blowpipe needed nerfs but this is actually gonna severely change the accessibility of some bosses and this might make cox an even worse money maker despite being an end game content because of how slow the raids might become and how much the drops are decreasing in price. I think just lowering the accuracy of the bp and and maybe slightly strength was enough for the crystal bow with armor and crossbows to become relevant again in dealing with higher defense monsters but also nerfing its damage by almost half is way too severe and might cause changes to many many monsters which could be problematic.

Definitely an integrity change. Stuff like this is what brings people that left back to the game. All of these changes are necessary for the overall health of the game imo.

Also it was an excellent move to poll something like this NOT in-game. There are tons of veteran players that quit the game for various reasons that are willing to come back if certain changes are made, but if you only poll in-game they don't have a voice and the game will continue to go in whatever direction it's currently going in.

Honestly RS3 handles powercreep in a very good way for the most part, and it's downfall in popularity was mostly from graphics, combat system, and MTX changes.

I'd love to see methods of powercreep introduced to OSRS that aren't solely acquired through combat
Examples:
- Being able to make your own high but not top tier armor/weapons with high skilling levels (i.e. like Player Owned Ports, definitely outclassed by t90-95 gear, but still very respectable)
- Higher tier potions
- New skills that impact combat (i.e. summoning, invention, archaeology)
- New prayers/spells from quests (i.e. Ancient Curses, Seren Spells, etc)

The only thing powercreep detracts from the game is making current endgame more accessible, and the obvious solution is one that should be happening anyway, which is just adding new content that moves the goalpost further to compensate.

Don't try to act like the current playerbase wants the game to remain unchanged because the current endgame is almost entirely comprised of new gear and new raids/bosses.

The blowpipe one is really abhorrent, and the issue is completely left out from the examples: the inferno. The issue is that the inferno completion without a twisted bow moves further and further away for players that are not very, very skilled. This is gonna great a whole lot of saltiness in those without an infernal cape, that one day would like to get one. This means that you must possibly use hundreds of hours on getting the twisted bow first before you can even seriously consider getting it through. It is also going to make the inferno longer, which is also very long as it is for your average player. Edit. sorry for the spam messages.

The nerf of the jaw is silly imo. It is bis, so why can't it just stay bis? the serp helm is worth 5m. but the jaw is worth 20m? how can you justify a 5m item to be better than a 20m item? you said in your stream that bp should be nerfed because of the low price value. youre contradicting yourself by doing this. buff the monster to keep the value of the jaw, not nerf the item. buff the slayer req for basilisk knights, remove the auto-retaliate breakout - make the knights less afk.

the dinh's nerf is ridiculous. the only people that complain are the ones that pk. pkers are complainers and whiners who cant kill someone with dinh's. how is that fair to the ones who are trying to stay alive while being pk'd by a team?

the bp nerf shouldnt be as harsh as you posted.. the fact that a bp is 2handed, means that you cant use a shield. crossbows are already OP because you can pair it with a shield. I dont think the accuracy nerf should be as severe.

the dhide nerf is actually stupid!! those nerfs are way too harsh.

if youre worried that bosses are "too easy" to kill with the way certain gear stats are, then increase certain defences that would negate specific items.

remember, a lot of the pvm content has not been touched in years!!! please rethink these nerfs.

After reading most of the comments on this thread it; I tend to agree that some or the proposed nerfs to the blowpipe are heavy handed. I believe it creates an ever larger gap with weapons like the Twisted Bow.

Another thing I noticed was the CoX megarares received a level increase which makes sense for their rarirty and usability and raw power, but one weapon of equal rarirty that seems to get brushed under the rug is the Elder Maul. A weapon so under-used it has no practical use anywhere and even gets outclassed by lower tier weapons like a cudgel and leaf bladed battleaxe. I think this is something that definitely needs a closer look and a much needed integrity change.

These are good changes tbh. I mainly pvm, and just getting into pvp through last man standing. Too many items and weapons are all over the place in terms of the combat triangle. That triangle is runescape's base structure. It makes sense to fix that structure and make it consistent and make it make sense.
