So, I agree whole-heartedly that a rebalance needs to be done. I agree many things are so over powered and under powered as to make the meta stale. I applaud the effort that y'all are putting into trying to come up with a logical solution. I also have one major critic of the rebalance, and a few minor ones.
First the good, The dragonbone necklace being a viable option in some relaxed situations is awesome. Most of the level nerfs are spot on. Like the toxic trident needing to be a higher cap, which is still relatively easy to achieve, with a little more work. And other weapon types being viable is awesome.
Then the bad... the blowpipe. Yes, it is overpowered, and needs a nerf. Honestly, in many occasions, it is on par with raid weapons if not actually better. (Like at Vorkath, the second most powerful dragon in the game behind Ohm, the bp can still out dps the dhcb the majority of the time) So I like where the idea you had comes from. But from a pure statics point, I believe the nerf you proposed is too much. 40% decrease give or take in effectiveness, will render it almost useless. So I am not saying don't nerf it. But I am more on the side of about 15% stat reduction, and even I may be on the high side here, would still leave it usable, but no where near BIS for content people love. You can take a rcb into sara, and you can get kc, but it's not effective comparatively right? I am using the same concept, but with a higher tier piece of gear than the rcb, with a harder unlock for real players who are just getting into bossing, and haven't memorized every rotation. (Also, mixing up the rotations slightly randomly, could do well in giving script writers more issues with many bosses, where real players can more easily adapt, but that is a topic for a different thread).
I like that this isn't rs3, and everything isn't always easy. There are other things, but I am out of room.
Be Well,
Armand
