Don't trust any pc's listed, any advice or talks between posts on ID forums anymore , the Manips are let loose, especially the main one with 15+ accounts posting acting as different people.. do your own research

I oppose the proposed change to remove the minigame's quest requirements. I suggest the following change: make "the stuff" obtainable at the reward shop give a 100% chance of brewing a mature ale. Increase the effects of mature ales to be +5. Then, players who want to avoid spending time getting a +5 spicy stew boost can buy a guaranteed boost ale for ~100k. This would revive trouble brewing and make brewing a nice passive money maker for medium-high level players. Brewing a vat of ale with the stuff (can be done only twice every 3-4 days) would likely be worth at least 500k. Brewing is currently 99% dead content because the mature ales only give a +2 boost (difficult to obtain), compared to a maximum +5 spicy stew boost.

As an aside, the current trouble brewing reward system doesn't incentivize actually brewing (currently, players just fill 50 buckets of water and then AFK for almost the max reward). The token bonus for brewing a successful bottle should be increased from 2 to maybe 20. The proposed changes do not address problems that are obvious to anyone who has actually played the minigame.

As a fan of soul wars and a huge slayer fan I really wish that slayer would be included in the minigame. This wouldn't mean it would have to offer slayer xp though. Instead of that what about some new slayer helm recolors as a reward for slayer monster heads that practically have no use in the game? Such as a cockatrice slayer helm from the head drop or a kurask slayer helm from their head drop for example?

I am a huge advocate for soul wars, but i liked the old soul wars. It was an amazing game and it had very little changes back in the day because it was a perfect minigame imo. I never got bored of it, it was rewarding, communities were formed, and people had fun. Sure clans run it and things are easy, but old school is a competitive version of the game and it will be a constant "war". I dont like these changes at all and make it seem more like a farming minigame then an actual community "war" where youre constantly battling and crashing and doing all of that. I dont like the mentality of just pumping as many games as you can in an hour and leaving whenever youre going to lose and maximizing zeal. ~~~ Long Time Soul wars

Not going to invest my time in suggesting specific rewards, because my content ideas are always ignored by Jagex, but you seriously need to add better and worthwhile rewards besides the Soul wars cape - the only reward for which I would play this minigame, and it's a one-time deal. For all the effort put into re-creating the Soul Wars minigame, it deserves more possible and combat-related rewards (or even recurring benefits of some kind) than what's currently being considered.

Some more feedback:

- Plus or minus 10% zeal bonus seems to be just a tad too little motivation to really win. Basing the rewards on participation rather than victory/loss is an excellent move, but I feel the bonuses could be more rewarding. Perhaps 20%? Or -10 and +20, if that works.

- Fully removing the Slayer aspect is somewhat of a shame, since Soul Wars has always been a Slayer-flavoured minigame. What about introducing a monster without Slayer requirement that drops only one soul fragment, whilst locking more lucrative monsters behind Slayer levels? Say, one dropping two fragments at level ~40 and one dropping three fragments at ~70.

- I'm not sure I like the Shade Catacombs' new look. It's a carbon copy of the Meiyerditch Laboratories. The original 2004 environment is somewhat dated too. Perhaps using assets from Tarn's Lair would be cool? That place looks really awesome! Or a mix thereof; it shouldn't look exclusively like just one dungeon.

- Any chance necromancer robes from 2011 could make an appearance? Even if they're cosmetic. Those things look amazing! Perhaps you could even use the skull mask instead of the hood (see original concept art).

- Can you also make sure the BA animations for using the supply machines aren't so slow? They have to play all the way for you to get your items, and are interrupted by practically anything. Then there's the various QOL updates that RS3 introduced in 2010 and 2013 (or was it 2014?), such as stackable poisoned food, tickets, the (master) trident and horn, etc.

Can we get some improvements to pyramid plunder.

Noted artefacts able to be traded with Simon Templeton and the guardian mummy.

Change the pharaoh sceptre from a RNG based achievement that could take 16 hours or more to something based on obtaining artefacts to trade the mummy. Would be a bit more consistent with the whole him charging it for you as now he will happily reward you with it.

This would stop the voting where they just find a world where the can use the north entrance and just spam the shit our of the first golden chest.

Did this grind recently for my first sceptre and felt the unclear goal made it demotivating as there was no counter for correctly opened chests/sarcophagus that didn’t trigger the trap. Had me end up clicking a raids shadow legend link as the grind was very ambiguous.

Maybe it could have a big overhaul and be similar to the sepulchre.
