new death mechanic is BAD

1. it will make rich player richer and the poor poorer.
since the best way to make gold in osrs is to kill monster, people that are richer tend to be
the one that die the less.

2. It will create anxiety for some player to try content
some player to not die because of fee won't try content, therefore reducing what they can
do in the game and making their experience worse.

3. 15 minute death mechanics instead of 1 hour.
even if 15 minute CAN be enough, sometime circonstance can make it a short time. Also
since we already had 1 hour, it can be seen as a lost for the player

4. Astronomical death fee
In the example given, the player have gear on him but not mention on any swap item.
Some boss like king dagganoth require lot of switch, which probably will bring the death
fee to the cap of 500k.

5. More money for gold seller/botter
with people needing more gold, his value will increase, more player might turn to gold
seller to pay for their death fee. which I believe player and jagex really don't want!

I hope this update won't stick as it's one of the WOSRE we have seen so far in osrs. The update have some rs3 vibe, I don't feel that you were thinking about what was best for the player when it was created.

I think this is a great (and needed) update!

I think it's a fair middle ground between where we started, where death was very unforgiving, and where we were recently, where death has virtually no consequence (outside of the wildy).

Going out with the top gear which makes things a lot easier should also carry some sort of risk.
