Not opposed to change, but being charged for dying really sucks, not every player is a PvPer, Staker, PvMer, etc etc with tons of time and cash to throw around. Some of us just like to play this game when we have time to do so - dying shouldn't feel like a money-drain/money-grab.
I get that there should be a middle ground with the subject if it is implemented, although at the start of this thread, one user did say
"Don't fix what ain't broken"
- seriously - I've been playing RS since 2004, with OSRS since launch and I have NEVER seen anyone complaining about the death mechanics that are current in OSRS. Just leave it alone please. Gravestones are a great idea, but punishing players upon death, when the player has ALREADY DIED seems to be general punishment enough (gearing back up somewhat/getting back to where you died, potentially losing said items, etc) without the need to pay Death or whatever.
If you guys really want to work on a subtle mechanic that isn't meant to screw some of it's player-base over, bring back the Rest option for your run energy.
