I would say from all option a combination would be best. The 15 minute timer sounds like a sufficient amount of time to retrieve your items. After those 15 minutes it would be nice to collect stuff at a central hub. This hub requires resources to get your stuff from your gravestone, so a fee would be very reasonable. Depending on the value of the items collected a fee can be calculated. The 500k cap sounds fair

If there wasn't so many server issues I could see this change making sense but with disconnections so common I don't think it would be a beneficial change. Personally I'd love to see a PvP world that I can play on with under 100 ping. Or something added to Pvp. Or a reduction in bots.

I see a lot of people quiting, not everybody and boss without dying alot. Not everybody has money to pay to get their items back. How do you expect people to learn how to kill certain bosses when Its going to cost their entire bank.

These death mechanics garbage. You are ruining content for lower less skilled people. Sounding like EoC.

If it's not broken don't try to fix it. Current death mechanics are very lax, but you've also had them in place for 5 years now? Why wait almost a year after finally getting an influx of new players (mobile) just to pull the rug out from under people's feet? People do not enjoy re-learning game mechanics, did you guys not learn that with EoC?

Also for those of you saying 2 mins is more than enough to get anywhere in rs: sure, for us veteran players that know the game very well. But we also have a ton of new players that don't know the game as well that would absolutely struggle. An update like this would only push the new players away, especially since 500k ISN'T chump change to them.

I think a lot of people are getting a little too emotional over this. Ive been playing since 2003 and lived through the days of the 2 minute timer. Its almost impossible to get back to where you died in 2 minutes which meant I was always much more careful in choosing what I brought when fighting stuff. However, dying in a RPG should carry a cost with it. An hour is waaaayyy too long to go back and get your items. Imagine dying at DK's (Which I'll admit, I've done a couple times). It takes you 2 minutes just to run through the cave, but with 15 minutes its at least possible.

15 minutes seems more than fair. It'll give you time to gather some teleport runes and food and armor to make it back. You'll definitely still feel the pressure to get there asap unlike with the 60 minute timer. And I also approve of breaking untradables.

What I don't agree with is the increasing costs for retrieving items from zulrah and other bosses. I'm not the best PvMer out there and Ive only had one kill at Zulrah with about 20 deaths. If I had to pay 200k every time I just wouldn't play that content. If someone has like 1000 kc then yeah, charge them if they die. But if you're just learning I dont think the cost should be nearly as steep.

I think changing the death mechanics is a good idea. Just because people have gotten used to easyscape doesn't mean you cant change it. Some people might cry, but that goes with any change to the game.

Leave the death mechanics alone. I like them the way they are. I suck at bosses and with harsh mechanics like this I won't even try them. I worked too hard in game to get the gear I want just to lose it over time because I have to pay out my bank to get my gear back.

And, too much gold in the game? Ban the gold farmers and the bots first, that would take care of a good portion of it. Gold farmers already ruined bounty hunter, now they're ruining Zalcano, and now Jagex wants to take that money out of the legit players rather than get rid of those that are messing up the economy.

I've paid Jagex every month to play this game for at least 5 yrs now, and if they put these mechanics into the game it will be the last Jagex sees of my irl money.
