I think given the aforementioned fact that you can never be 100% protected against attacks on the servers, the proposed changes are a good compromise -it'll definitely be a change to be monitored closely. I do think the post-death deaths (is that how it's worded? lol) should be a bit more dangerous in the fact that the price should either go up, or less overall items are kept. Part of the thrill was taking all the food in the world just to make sure you didn't die again and indefinitely seal your items' fate.

5200k after 20 deaths? did some one mess up and mean 200k? TF?

If you change shit and not for UIM I will quit tbh. You guys already make all bosses ironman wet dreams but it just ends up being a vene gold farmers sex dungeon.

My suggestion: Keep current death mechanics and stop being pepega retards.

I bet at some point someone said "it will get people to buy more bonds because they lose gold" greedy jagex shaking my head smh.

if 2 minute time comes back i'm gone, the only reasons I started playing again is because of how the game is NOW and Runlite. 2 minute death timer would also crash the economy because no one would want to risk BiS items on any boss

But you agree that the game needs money/item sinks?... A 2 minute timer wouldn't break the game as you can get back your items for a free from most bosses and traveling trough osrs mostly doesn't take that long..

basicly, my osrs account barely gets a 5 min kill, I admit I struggle killing it, but I want to, but this idea is a massive turn off

just keep death mechanics as they are and implement an item/gold sink similar to how RS3 did invention

People crying about this are just pathetic.

The fee is capped at 500k which is nothing. You get 15 minutes instead of 60 minutes, big deal. You can get into a GWD Boss Room in 15 minutes... and they changed that to make it even easier anyway. There is NO difference between 15 and 60 minutes because ALL areas of the game are reachable in 15 minutes anyway! Plus it doesn't count when logged off.

Give us back the 2 minute timer exactly as it was in 2007, but have it only count down when logged in. Why is that so difficult?

Yeah exactly. You changed it without a poll. Change it back to the way it was and then poll changes. If it doesn't get 75% then we should STILL have the 2 minute timer.

There better be a voting choice to bring it back to the oldschool no safety net 2 minute death timer, just make it countdown when logged in. I can't express how furious I am at those changes, this godwars dungeon grave out of the boss room crap is NOT OLDSCHOOL!

Just leave instanced deaths at 100k like vorkath, and 2 minutes everywhere else. I would accept a 15 minutes everywhere else if it meant you couldn't *buy* your stuff afterwards.

Don't turn death into some kind of tax.. this is runescape, a ROLEPLAYING game and when you die, you lose your stuff thats all. It's already bad enough you can't stake items anymore.

Have you guys watched the Ready Player One movie?? Imagine watching that movie knowing they would only lose some coins and keep their items if they died.. There would be absolutely no feeling of immersion or real sense of danger if it were the case.

Im with cup of ink but maybe if you dont make it to your stone in 5-10 min then you pay, charging for the value of what youre wearing is kinda dumb,if you wanna charge based on how much you can afford them maybe it should be scaled to how much cash you have 1b+ 500k to retreive
500m and lower 300k under 100m 100k under 50 mill cash it should be 50k, doesnt have to be scaled like that exactly but you should be charged more depending on how much gp you have like how taxes work you make more you get taxed more.
