Hi Jagex,
I have read the (FAQ's).
I’m sorry that I see people who seem to lack the compassion and empathy nor the wisdom to understand the concerns of other people. Apparently not even the chronological difference in age changes this.
Technology should keep up with (people) and not the other way around. What I’m saying here is if you have an older system the corporations involved in this tech should continue to support them until a reasonable (new) system can be purchased. Obviously not everyone has the same type of income (I won*t go into this in detail here… if you don‘t understand what this means then mebe in time you will). Regardless, there are millions of people (including businesses) that still use the older windows xp systems and who do not have (or access to) the (newer) phone type devices (yes, you can use the pc dnld).
Again, I did read the faq’* but passing the downloading/installing of new software to the customer rather than incorporating it into the (game)… ok, everyone’s trying to save time and money… gotcha! But at least let those people who don’* want to do this download/install not have access to your game. A Bold reassurance of this would be nice to see on the main page. Also, phasing out a security measure that has/does work… I don’t know… I still think you could use the tech that’s available to build the security into (your) system and then reasonable increase your products cost to customer.
Ok, I can see the can of worms I’ve opened but this is of course my opinion.
Now, Having said all this I do applaud Jagex for their focus on customer security/safety !
I hope everyone can move forward and have fun… every day!
