I actually used to like LMS, but I can see why it became dead content as apart from the cash reward at the end, there was no point to the game.

All that was needed was some rewards that made the game actually worth playing, not just for the winners, but also the ones who participated.

Instead, they made it in a tribrid minigame that apart from the map, resembles nothing of what lms was. I can say that I will never play this minigame again if this is what they'e going to turn it into.

Half the fun was getting lucky in the chests. I was never good at the game by any means, but i had a ton of fun playing it when it was at it's peak.

If it was just meant to attract PVPers with pvp rewards then I wouldn't have an issue but they want to add rewards, that are better placed elsewhere, to try and get casual players to play it even though it wont fix the problem, then I'm going to say something about it.


So what do you think halos are? Literally only used by pures for BIS/other pking builds for cosmetic purposes. If it's because you want to do collectionist/completionist stuff then I guess it's time for you to learn how to pk

Jagex, I want to really thank you all for listening to the pvp updates suggested by players who actually pvp. it is very clear that a majority of the community has no idea what it is talking about (ie this thread) when it comes to pvp balancing and this is exactly the kind of steps pvp should take to make real progress- not only in improving pvp for high tier players who follow the tribrid meta, but for making it accessible for newer players who have no idea what pvp meta is or how to even do it.

tribrid is probably the most entertaining, skillful and effective form of pvp and I'm very happy that you are focusing on this meta and reviving LMS with a focus on this style of gameplay. I'm not sure what the future of LMS will be, but I will be out there helping the noobs (all of the posters in this thread) understand pvp and hopefully bringing more into the scene. I hope this update works out and you continue to listen to the players who know what they are talking about.

100% approve as someone who is huge into pvp. thank you.

About LMS:
Jagex plan to add base gear is nice because before we were way too dependant on RNG to get started.

I do however love the survival part of LMS and want the ability take advantage of the environment. Given that we will have the fix base gear from start I want to request that you implement some skilling possibilities.

Skilling possibilities are give more consitent output than hoping to get base gear by RNG while looting chests the first min.

I was on holidays for few weeks not available to play runescape properly while the Forthos Dungeon was released. But i was following the media and sow what it was about, and i got interested to try out all the red dragons crafting and bone burning thing, even tho it was very inefficient to do compared with alternatives of training methods, it still looked like something new and different to try out.
But the last update ruined it all!...The thing where you no longer get exp while using 100 bones on bone burner while the altar is cursed... You guys obviously changed it for pures witch makes no sense, since pure is a gimped character that in not capable of doing all content in the game in exchange of being very powerful in pvp in his combat level bracket. You should not make updates that help pures and screw over everybody else like that.
There is no way it is worth going in there any more. It was already fairly slow and inefficient way to train prayer and crafting, but now i have to throw away 100 bones to do it???! no thank you..
Red dragons in there are already close to dead content. I didn't sow any people when i was testing if the change actually went through and you guys nerfed it even more just so pures could do it... great!
It is alos very unfair jsut cuz i was on holdidays not avibale to play no i have to loose all that exp, while evertone else who did it last few days got it.
I really think you should change it back or at least put a toggle so everyone could choose if they wanna get exp ir not.

- these literally have no place in OSRS and I am appalled that they were listed as a possible reward. They were one of the major items that broke the combat triangle in RS3 to a point that EoC was deemed necessary.

Range and magic having binds made it impossible to tank both at once. Please don't make the same mistake twice. It doesn't even matter if they deal 0 damage, range having a binding attack, literally breaks the triangle (maybe a special that binds could be balanced around, similar to ZGS, but a standard weapon is not balanced and never will be). Even at the cost of 100% spec, I wouldn't be sure if a 0 damage special attack would be overpowered when it calculates with range attack/def. ZGS is balanced because you need to be within melee range, and it is also basically a +1. Having two different combat styles capable of binding, with use of welfare, destroys the triangle.

Negative EXP lamps
- I think this is a good place for these. They didn't fit at rev caves, but adding them as a PvP reward makes perfect sense. I also like that it will be added to a minigame where stats are set during it, so all various builds have the opportunity to partake.

I second the bolas disgust... Unfortunately that seems like a terrible idea to me. Magic should be the only way to stop a fleeing opponent from getting away. We don't need to throw a wrench into pvp and tribridding when it's completely not called for. Tribridding is fine and a lot of the current pvp updates are amazing, but bolas is not going to be one of them. Don't do that plz

Unfortunately while the prospect of negative exp lamps sounds interesting for crazy builds. I think this will cause much more harm than good. I have an acc that I'd love to take some exp off of, but that's the point of working so hard on your accounts and making them perfect. That the exp is not removable... I think plenty of people will find a way to abuse this and I don't think its needed either. If you all feel you must put it in the game, for the love of god make it 1 negative exp lamp per account to minimize the harm and not make LMS like armies of gliendore (w/e its called... the horribly grindy minigame that use to be used to imbue rings) where if u wanted to compete in pvp u needed to grind the hell out of it. No one wants to be forced to play an insignificant minigame to be able to do what they love to do: PK

PVP is literally all I do and it's a VERY HARD NO to both of those (and the current g maul proposed change)

PS: current g maul proposed nerf is practical for high cmb pking or high risk pking, but will absolutely destroy low cmb pking and absolutely is horrendous as it is currently proposed. This needs to be addressed or you will cripple pvp at low cmbs and force everyone to go 60 atk or fight with range ruining thousands of accounts... we just want to play our game... please don't dictate how we have to play it by changing the entire game completely... we saw how that went with EOC and trust me when I say I quit immediately
