I think the rares should be given out on their appropriate holidays, it would be fair to everyone (Hence, OLD SCHOOL Runescape). Or, add the rare items to the rare drops table for every monster. As for the treasure trails idea, if you can only get them from the elite scrolls, it would be completely unfair for the low level players. If they had it as a common reward (but extremely rare), then it'd be fair..

To be honest, while looking at this through an economic standpoint, having rares could slightly hurt it.Now i'm not saying that it would bring it to a point of no return, but it would make some players have an unfair advantage if the rares were trade-able and only determined by their luck that they got it.

We should distribute rares to the people who already have them on the EOC version of RuneScape to the Old School accounts. Ex.) If you have a Santa hat on the EOC version of RuneScape, it will be transferred over to your Old School account as well.

I believe this is the best way to make sure there aren't an unfair amount of rares in the game.

Thank you,
Joe

I believe rares give a goal for every individual and make rs what it is. Now the way that I would like to see them implemented..

I liked the idea of stores selling at an extremely high price but preferably for 1 week only. Have Partyhats set at around 20-30m and other rares at lower prices ex. masks 5m. This would be an amazing money seek and 1 week is long enough for any determined person to make the money.

I believe the tradeable rares should be put into the game the same way they were introduced. For the non tradeable rares I believe the accounts that originally obtained them should have them on OSRS.

i think the rare clue scroll idea is the best
the tradable rares like party hats and santas be as rare as 3rd age maybe.
but make the Untradable rares like the Easter ring scythe an bunny ears commoner(around the same rate as robins and maybe the trimed rune sets) but remain untradable like random event items.
something... something.... something..... dark side.

I'll try to keep this short. :) All untradable rares should be gotten through the old holiday events. They should be kept untradable. As for the trade-able you should not add them at all considering they where gotten in runescape classic. This is my opinion, as for yours.
I do not like the options that where giving for the trade-able rares.
1. Distribute them using similar mechanics as you did before (dropping them, holiday events) This way all players will be able to have a chance to get them. You should eliminate dropping them because not that many players cared in classic and no one knew that they would be worth so much now.
Who ever read this thanks :) .
