I do believe Rares should be implemented in OSRS, so I will be voting yes for tradeable and untradeable Rares. However, for R
are Poll #2 (if enough % is passed for Rare Poll #1), there
doesn't seem to be a method listed that is completely fair for the individuals who want Rares back in game and for them to be expensive and elite items like they use to be. I have thought of a method in the following:
A set amount of Rare items for each tradeable Rare should be decided on (ex: 100 Santa Hats, 100 Disks of Returning, 50 of each Party Hat, etc. Just an example, not numbers I have in mind). Then, on a
specific date and time given, the set amount of Rares should be d
ropped randomly throughout the world of Runescape where all players are able to access. However, the same amount of Rares won't be dropped in each world, but instead it will be
proportional to the amount of players in each world, so that players who hop to less populated worlds do not have an unfair advantage. By using this method, all players have a fair advantage by knowing the date and time of the event, the Rares are dropped in locations accessible to all players, the locations of the items dropped are completely random in these specific locations, there is a set number of Rares in game just like there use to be back in 07, and the price will still be only accessible to the elite players. What do y'all think of this idea? I doubt Jagex is open to player ideas on this topic, but your feedback is still appreciated.
*Another precaution I thought of for complete fairness, is to implement
no tele grab to pick up the Rares off the ground so players must run to them, allowing skillers, non-mage pures and all others a fair advantage as well.
*Remember, this is an idea for players who want Rares back in the game and at for the elite only like they have been since the beginning. Please don't flame, Thank You.
