If the rares are actually added, I believe they should be added how they initially were. By doing this, they wouldn't particularly be that rare, therefore having no need for them to go to extreme prices. Vegeta, what does the scouter say about his sweg level?

"ITS OVER 9000!"

"What?! Over 9000? There is no way that can be right!"

i agree because if they were a rare drop or something like the reward from desert trails they would ruin the economy.

but then they wouldn't be 'rare' items they would just be junk, I think everyone who played back in 2007 should get one, that way they would be rare and couldn't be mass produced by bots and gp websites and would be a reward for the long term players.

Jagex always said the tradeable holiday items (such as Party hats) were a mistake. Therefore they introduced the first untradeable rares (scythe, bunny ears, ...)

So I say Jagex, do the following:

1. Make Diango sell them for 1 GP each, forever, you can buy as many as you want (they never become rare but they will alwyas be cool to have).

2. Make Diango give them to you for free, making them untradeable.

This is the way it should be done.
Remember: Rares were a mistake (Is what Jagex said and I agree with that)

rares should be distributed randomly dropped as they did originally. Every other way either excludes groups of players or devalues rares making them worthless. Allowing ppl to buy them from a show devalues significantly. Allowing them as clue rewards excludes skillers who dont kill monsters. Allowing them to be dropped from high lvl monsters excludes lower lvld players who only skill. Allowing them to be rewarded from skilling excludes people who pvm and pk... and so on.

Yes, and they should be trade-able. Have them given to people who are are maxed combat or have at least 12 99's in regular runescape on their account because there should still be some prestige about them. I think all players who started playing runescape before 2008 should have a rare and the new players should have to work their way up to be able to afford them. But in the end as long as I have a red, white, and green phat, i'll be ok with it. But I think all veteran players should be rewarded for sticking around at least more than 5 years. I don't want a silly veteran's cape. I want a partyhat. I've already made 2b+ and almost 18 99's, people such as myself should be rewarded for their dedication.
