Just make em come up like they came on the first place, clue scrolls, monster drops sklling or buying em would be silly, "nolifers" would have serious edge..and to buy em from some shop worth like +200m or something sounds stupid too.

All players on the same line, random drops like back in the day. You either get some or not. Stupid to make em pay millions and millions on some shop..let the price go up naturally.

I would be fine if all old school players would get em too.

I've been thinking about the issues of rare for quite sometime, and how it would be fair to all players of OSR. In my personal opinion, I believe tradeable rares should be introduced into the game through a roulette mechanic (one time deal).

i.e. Players would be given a chance to to spin a roulette wheel with all the rares placed on a slot, they would be allowed to spin the roulette three times and whatever rare they received stayed. I believe that a roulette wheel, though based entirely on luck will create a balanced market for rares. Individuals wouldn't be able to hoard Christmas Crackers, Party Hats, H'ween mask, etc. To deal with the possible influx of accounts made to hoard rares, a date restriction would be placed so that only accounts with so much total level, and game activity within the first two months of OSR would be able to access the roulette wheel.

Non-tradeable rares should be introduced normally through holiday events for the community.

I suggest merging the monster drops and skilling into one option, that way both people who spend their time skilling and those who would rather kill monsters have a shot at getting rares, instead of just one camp getting them.

What if an entirely new clue scroll was created that rewarded these items from a new drop table? As-well as being obtainable via skilling?

For example, your cutting down trees and a bag falls from the tree containing a clue? What if these clues rewarded different loot, depending on the time of year? Partyhats at Christmas if incredibly lucky would be awesome! :)

My biggest concern is keeping the rares hard to obtain items, I don't think they should be extremely easy to obtain. I'd like if at all possible for them to hold onto their rarity status. Comparable to 3rd age equipment would be decent. I definitely do not want to see them as discontinued items though as players that like to hoard would prevent future players from obtaining them.

Selv,

i believe having rares in the game would be exciting like they are on eoc. and the best way to go about it would, spawn the rares at random spots on rs for people to grab or in fally drop party rooms, traderble rares: yes and untraderble rares: yes

if this is going to be done its gotta be done just like when i played Runescape Classic.... i would like to see these dropped once again at specific times of the day for the 3 days they were dropped not 2-3 weeks like the recent holiday events :)

DONT BREAK RUNESCAPE TRADITION ON THE RARE HOLIDAY ITEMS :)

leave them as a community drop and eventually they will become rare again just like before with people quitting people losing them and people alching them

as for the Half Full Wine Jug and Disk of Returning those should be in a clue scroll... because as i recall Throdurs black hole does NOT exist anymore and you CANT drink half of a wine anymore to recieve the Half Full Wine Jug...
