1. Would you like rare items return in some form?
No

2. If you vote for rare items to return, would you like the currently tradeable rare items to remain tradeable?
No, if they had to return I would want them to be untradeable

3. How would you like rare items return?
If they had to return and were tradeable i would prefer something completely random without using combat or skills to determine the odds of receiving one. There are many skillers who don't want to train combat including myself and ideas like clue scrolls don't seem fair to 100% of the community. The best thing I can think of is to have a cracker appear in every player's bank (like the newer cracker which gave golden hammer) and, when you pull it, you have a chance of getting any of the rares or (more likely) nothing at all.

Thanks for the opportunity to be heard, and here's to hoping they don't get voted for at all!

I have seen many different people propose many different ways to bring back trade-able rares (if they want them back at all). However I can't help but feel each suggestion is somewhat biased based on the player's preference and what they enjoy doing. A person who trains slayer and non combat skills wants them to be from skill based random rewards..someone who does clues would want them from rare clue rewards...ect. This doesn't apply to the entire community however, since as we know a good portion of players are skillers, pures, or are training certain stats first and aren't working on combat stats just yet. These players will be effectively penalized and at a disadvantage for choosing to play the game a certain way that they are completely allowed and encouraged to do. A person who has high combat and quest points will have an increased chance of getting rare rewards from monster drops and clue rewards. Is that really fair to the entire community? I don't think so. If trade-able rares are to be implemented back into old school, the only way I could see it being fair is if it was done by a random event or holiday event that wasn't based off of individual player's stats or quests.

well to be completely honest i'd rather have the experience done through a event through some fashion, although thats my opinion considering the idea of old school runescape was to bring back the old style and phats and crackers really isnt old school coming from a treasure trail or a monster drop now am i right?

as I read thru the posts from every one ... I stop at page 7.. it occurred to me..

why has no one asked why the second vote is ...

needed if the vote to add Rare's is no... the mods did not say a word about this

and why is the vote set up to end the first poll during the morning of one day and the second poll to start immediately afterwards
its a strange way to start and end a poll
it seems funny to me that they assume the vote to add them in the first place is a sure bet.

I also point of the first poll first question is not a fair question

it does not distinguish between rare tradable or discontinued untradeable items

saying that part I want to point out they wrote a paragraph about exactly which items were tradable and which were not.. so.. to continue

so lets say people don't want tradable in the game but they did want the non tradable in.. .. they have to vote yes even though they disagree with the tradable..

the discontinued non tradable items doesn't effect the game.. how ever the tradable does effect the game

now the second question does ask if they want them to be tradable or not tradable..

this question never answers which items will be tradable and which ones wont be...

now this point is not mute.. because I refer back to question one.. it just classifies the whole group as rare items in the game.. it does not tell if there is a difference

and here is the problem.. because people who did not want the tradable in the game cant not express that they don't want tradable items in the game. Its too late... they already are if the vote passes..

I understand this is confusing ... but the mods made a whole paragraph about which items were which. now based on how the questions are being asked.. why did they bother to wrote the paragraph in the first place.. it doesn't matter which item is which if they are going to be all classified as tradeable .. or non tradable.

don't even get me started on the questions on how they are going to put in

Here is my idea:
-This is only allowed for accounts registered within the initial registration period, any account after that period should not be allowed to obtain a rare by this method:

Every player that initially voted will be given an item in –game known as: goodie-bag
This item is untradeable and only limited to one person per account. Once the item is used it disintegrates.
The goodie-bag gives the player an opportunity of obtaining a tradable rare, however the chances of claiming a rare is extremely low. More common prizes will also be added to the mix, such as: buckets, coins, gems, armour, dragon etc.
This way everyone has a chance, albeit a very low chance but still a chance is better than no chance.
I hope this is taken into consideration.
