Rare Item Poll 1

1. Would you like rare items return in some form?
Yes

2. If you vote for rare items to return, would you like the currently tradable rare items to remain tradable?
NO!
-------------

What happens if question 1 wins the 75% required... and..

Question 2 has a 50-50 split... or 75% vote for tradeable?

You will have effectively voted FOR tradeable rares when that happens.

Thank jagex for it.

Vidsyn you are very closed minded person, jagex is offering them to be non tradeable
which would not effect the market, very dumb to just vote no to everything, +1 to the bad community list

Why is it 'closed minded' to vote no if you don't want rares to come back at all? You want him to vote the way you want (you must, you said he's closed minded because he doesn't want rares at all), but I don't see you offering to vote the way HE wants..

It really isn't going to matter in the end... jagex has set it up to fail.

I won't vote yes for something that has so many unanswered questions attached... and it's not because I oppose rares..

It's because jagex has this poll backwards... voting yes to bring them back.. before deciding if they should be tradeable or not.. and before the 'how' of implementation is decided... is just NOT something I'd be willing to do.

Tell me HOW they will be implemented, and if they will be tradeable or NOT, and THEN ask me if I want to vote in favor of them returning.

Without those answers.. you're shootin' blind!

you may be shooting blind...but you'll hit the target regaurdless, may not be the spot you were aiming for.

though i have a agree with F L O K I, some people are very close minded and cant see the entire picture other then the little peice they are stairing at.

the biggest argument i've seen is "this would ruin the market!!" well this wouldnt ruin the market if people vote the tradeable ones, non tradeable.

And if what you want is nontradeable ones.. so you vote yes, and not tradeable.. but 75% vote yes and tradeable... you've effectively voted FOR tradeable rares (even though you want untradeable).

My only point is that the 2nd and 3rd questions should be the first poll on rares... and THEN vote on bringing them back in that state (whatever wins the first one).

It's backwards.

Shootin' blind you MAY hit... something.. but if you're shootin' blind you don't know what you've hit until it's already done.

I'll be voting no to rares.. unless the other questions have answers first.. and I don't believe I'm the only one who will.

Jagex.. is effectively.. forcing a NO vote on rares.

To keep it fair for the true 'old school' players, the non-tradable rares should be given to ONLY the old-school players that were around at the time. I don't want to see people from 5 years ago walking around with bunny ears and scythes when they have no right or experience to wear it. Would be completely unfair and degrading. As for tradable rares, I think that they should be dropped in just the same way as they were years ago. Over time, they will increase in price and become valuable to everyone once again.

I think that rares should come back simply because they existed in 2007. For new players to get the full experience of what it was like and for old players to play what they enjoyed, I don't think major things like that should be tweaked. And I feel like people are already treating rares as if they're well.. rare. It's over time that they become rare. I say bring them back, keep the tradeable ones tradeable, and give out an extremely large amount to make them more accessible to current players and new players as well to prevent division between players (aka less rare).

In response to Mod Mat K's poll questions about rares:

1. Would you like rare items return in some form?
Yes please

2. If you vote for rare items to return, would you like the currently tradable rare items to remain tradable? Probably no, but it depends on how they would be distributed. In which case on to distribution poll -

I would like to see them introduced either using method 5. or 8.

5. Have an NPC shop you can buy rare items from for a large amount of GP .

In this case they should not be tradable. They are available to anyone who wants them but you still need to work to get them.

8. Have them appear as very rare drops when skilling.

In this case probably not tradable since they would be available to anyone. I would like a few more details as to what is meant by "drops when skilling". How would the drops work? Like nests? I assume this means any type of skilling both combat and non-combat so they are equally available to level 3 skillers and combat focussed players.

This is exactly how I feel the implementation of rares should be done. I don't really care on how the tradeable rares are done, but the untradeable rares that I obtained many years ago I believe should be given back to us.
