I'll be voting yes, i enjoy making my own armors, and i think this skill can pave the way to other cool peices of content, but as others said, you need to make it appeal to all levels, i personally would love this gap filled, i know others will disagree alot with me but i enjoy the grind to get materials and make the stuff, its gameplay that just personally feels necessary, i like the idea of a BETA of this skill, just throw it in for a couple months, gather feedback, take one attempt to fix it as much as possible, throw it back out there and if people still dont like it, pitch it and just expand on other skill trees to fill the gap

I've posted before, but if you guys do develop the skill more, please do not butcher the potential from it as you have to so many other updates.

What I mean by this is that it offers a way of addressing magic's variety issues, there is no reason that it should be limited to armor. Don't ruin this opportunity.

We're missing PvP alternatives to SoTD/SoL and godspells. Literally all we need is something that allows us to use vengeance and based on my testing (with black salamander), a max hit of 31-33 should be enough.

We're missing viable medium level armors. Rune is viable for melee, but mystic being viable for mages? Not so much, not outside of hybriding anyway.

Something as simple as a upgrade of splitbark should be adequate. I'm not asking for things to be as good as Ahrim's, we just need things which are good enough to be viable. Currently we can use Ahrim's or we can die as everything else is just so bad due to lack of defenses.

We're missing low-medium tier shields. Currently we have malediction ward, arcane and Wyvern which provides accuracy bonuses between 12-20 and melee defenses between 50-80. This provides plenty of room for lower level shields.

This too could be a way of providing some much needed variety to the skill. For example, a shield with relatively weak bonuses, but has its own attack similar to how the DFS and Wyvern works.
OSRS Mage Tank.

Believe magic to only be for support? Think again. It's just as valid of a Pking style as melee and range is.

No..

And it’s coming from a completely mid-level player.

Here’s why.

It could already be added to crafting. OR change runecrafting to magecraft and you might have something.

The biggest problems with skills involving creating weapons and Armour is that

1. By the time you reach a high enough level to make the Armour you’re well past the level it takes to equip/wield it

2. Not profitable, like almost everything else since the GE opened.

Restructure smithing and crafting maybe? Or mage craft like before mentioned?

I just don’t want another instance of having to get 90 in a skill just to make mediocre Armour (yes I’m talking about rune and d hide)

It's a no from me, dawg.

All of this "skill" could be integrated into the other existing skills with ease.

Like other points that have been raised in this post, I concur that a new skill is completely unnecessary when so few in OSRS are maxed.

Old School Runescape should be kept Old School.

I don't mind seeing new quests. But new skills? No thanks. Especially when they seem to have zero thought and depth put into them.

i would like to see a beta of this skill, you cant test economics of it really and i understand that, but fact is the community needs to be willing to allow jagex to try new things, lest the game will become dull over time.
I recently got back in and i love the updates they have made, but was surprised that several skills have been downvoted and pitched, even if it was only a couple points. This style of runescape will always give that nostalgic feel but that doesnt mean we cant have new skills.
i say lets have a beta first, do some fixes, have another and then cast a vote. ONLY PLAYERS THAT HAVE ACTUALLY USED THE SKILL SHOULD BE ABLE TO VOTE!

Pkers arent going to vote yes to this obviously because some of the, wont even touch it in the beta. so if you dont try it out, you cant vote simple as that.

how about the ring imbueing? If I have my rings imbued right now, will that be removed once the skill is released so that I have to train it to be able to imbue them again? Or will I keep my imbue on them??
