Staking fee = very good.
Gravestone = really bad.
Please separate ironman mechanics from normal player mechanics and make death timers back to 2.5 mins. Thats a HUUGE money sink that runescape needs. Will also balance the economy very well.

Being as this is pretty much a rework of the old gravestones pre-eoc. Can we at least pay for the gravestones for timers, bless them etc. I mean the 20 minute timer is nice however in the chances of a next Disconnect due to this. Who is to say specific players livestreaming would not be targeted. Whether through the world or due to their own IP being exposed.

Would like to see gravestones back with their actual old mechanics.
Especially since the older gravestones prevented you to have more than one existing gravestone at the time. Any items left on the floor would disappear 2 minutes after your next gravestone appearing.

This would prevent the issue we're dealing with now.

Edit: Or pull a RS3 if you die PvMing, you are transported out completely along with your inventory at a spawn point. I believe you'd pay death for your items all together or whatever. and go on ur way.

Would definitely much rather have a system that worked in a way that prevents ddosing in any sort, and of course gives enjoyment to those who ddos worlds to watch players struggle to get back to their graves.

For Ultimate Ironmen we'll be handling their death mechanics separately: items would drop the floor for an hour (as they currently do - this would countdown even when logged out) and would also reappear outside of instances.

Does this also include all quest instances? Except DS2 instances.

I literally just logged in to post this . I don`t post too often.

Bring the old death mechanics back please. Gravestone system, even with a payment to retrieve your items back feels too mild. Dying in Runescape feels "meh" , like a stroll in the park. Don't throw me that DDoS problem in the face , that is not a good reason to change such a big thing in the game. Runescape was one of the few games where dying actually felt bad and made you panic. Don't give us this mild option with a gravestone that has a countdown ONLY while logged in. How about making your servers better and safer and even if you can`t do it , i repeat that dying in Runescape should be risky and not make you feel like " eh, i`ll just pay that 50k and get whatever i`ve lost back" .

Please revisit your idea and remember that Runescape actually used to be like that and people did not complain about the death mechanics and complained about disconnections. Which is not a good reason to change a big part of any game ( death ) not just Runescape.

I think 20 minutes is too much, make it 15. It's enough incase someone has a connectivity issue or something, as long as it removes that 60 minute garbage. Players have to learn to lose items. We don't even lose non trade able items anymore, which means anyone can just purposely be careless in the game without risk anymore. I remember when bossing for the first time took focus, trial and error and dying. Losing items with
KNOWN
risk that I did not mind losing in order to understand the boss I am killing. This is why everyone finishes every new quest and boss the first 10 minutes it comes out. There is 0 risk in this game outside of PvP and staking.

Some of my thoughts , but even 15 minutes is too much , i think 5 minutes and no gravestone should do . If you have enough experience to take on tough challanges ( bosses ) and enough cash to afford good gear ( and also risk it ) then you should not have a problem getting back a.s.a.p ( experience regarded ) or you should not have a problem if you just died because you have enough cash to re-buy your gear ( literally rebuy it, not through gravestone ) and if you don't then you knew the risk beforehand.

Don't get me wrong but you shouldn't bring your bank to whatever challange you take on.Back then you would think about your strategy and take items that you could afford risking ( just like in the wilderness ) and only get the expensive stuff when you are sure about it ( experience related ) and you KNOW the risk .Nowadays any clueless player can grab his best gear and actually risk nothing. Beacuse nowadays dying in runescape means nothing and the method with the gravestone you are proposing is still close to nothing.
