Regarding the Duel Arena changes, this is small, but there's a clue scroll that requires starting a duel to access a place to dig. Usually I'd just stake someone a chunk of money and lose on purpose to get the next scroll/casket, so will there be a big enough range with the staking so that if I want to pay someone 100k or 50k or whatever to help out, they don't have to reciprocate and wonder whether I'm gonna scam them somehow?
Regarding the death mechanics, I'd echo what some have already said. I think 5 or 10 minutes is more appropriate, especially since it only counts down when logged in. I also don't think there should be a cap on the 1% fee (this is coming from someone who would have to pay more without the 50k limit). But my main issue with the gravestone idea is the gravestone itself. It always seemed a little tacky/out of place to have gravestones popping up all over Gielinor. Is it possible to have the items drop on the ground but maybe be protected with a spell by the Grim Reaper? Then the Grim Reaper could either actually show up in front of the player or a chat box/pop up screen could just say something like the GR demands payment for the spell/curse to be lifted. Or maybe instead of gravestones, you have to pay to open your own casket/coffin. I think my main issue with the gravestones is that they're not a common object/occurrence in OSRS. While gravestones make sense in relation to death in general, they don't make as much sense as other options in relation to OSRS death specifically. We see many NPCs in coffins/caskets and see chest/casket words and items much more often, so I think it fits better from an aesthetic standpoint.
