The problem with Oldschool Runescape is that it is truly PK-Based. The bossing is very lousy. There is a lot of content for lower levels to play and have fun with. But once you get to 90+ the game starts to become rather boring, as there are no "hard" bosses to fight. Any level can go barrows with a slayer staff and prayer. But there is nothing to train for. Something that should be implemented is God wars. This is would be the high level content the players of this game are seeking. Something to strive to get high combat levels for. Something that will drop higher tier weapons and armor. Quite honestly, if you are not a pker, which many of us are, this game isn't a lot of fun.

The game definitely needs to be enhanced and not evolved. Fine line there, I know.
Things that evolve should be avoided:
Summoning
Curses
Dungeoneering
RuneSpan
Herb Update (extremes)

Things that enhance and should be added:
Quests
Screen/Video sizing. Nothing that would change the vid requirements on PC if possible.
Bank enhancements and all those missing right click options! Oh Elkoy!
Mini games like stealing creation.
(keep in mind your trading time in sc for reduced time elsewhere and sc is super fun :D )

Grey areas:
Bossing, specifically God Wars
(gotta be a compromise of sorts with the pkers here)
Herblore habitat
Achievement Diaries .. I like these!


That's the really short version. Love 07, glad it's here. Would like to see it stay. If it stays unchanged it will slowly diminish and that would be sad.
Please keep it updated.

In my opinion OSRS does need to be updated but there are fundamentals that can not be compromised. I think players really enjoy OSRS because of its beautiful simplicity and any future updates should stay true to that nature. I think it's very clear that we are perfectly fine with our combat system but does that mean no more weapons or armor should be added into the game? No it doesn't. Stuff like that keeps this game fresh and exciting and gives us a reason to come back for more. It also allows new activities into the game such as mini-games or Bosses.

Another reason that I believe people like OSRS is for pking. EoC completely destroyed pking and because of it the games player base took a HUGE hit. Right now with OSRS pking is in a great state, maybe it's not perfect but the beauty of this whole thing is that Jagex is really looking to us players for suggestions to make the game what we want it to be. As long as we pay attention to new content polls and voice our opinion as a community, this game will continue to be great.

One thing I hope to NEVER see in OSRS is the complete over-saturation of cosmetic items that can be bought with real world money like in EoC. These items serve absolutely no purpose in the game and are there only for Jagex to make a quick buck off us and I for one do not like that at all. In-game items should never be something that you can just pay to have. They should be introduced to the game through quests or other in game activities.

the thing i really don't want is osrs turning into baby eoc or pre-eoc..i was thinking if we can be as creatve as we can...why not instead of adding things from the past...make some brand new thngs? ..somethat that eoc doesnt have,,that only osrs will have?..how about a couple new skills just for osrs? it certainly is about time isn't it? i think that will up the interest and excitement of the game..maybe we can vote on which new skills we'd like to have after you let us know which we can pick from? i think its a great idea..and if were gonna have new content..lets make it "really new"..
also instead of adding the old mingames..wy not have a few brand new ones? that way osrs wont be going down the same path as before..
i am aware that some people really love the quests..i am not one of them when they get to be so massive and our character dies and stuff..we had quests that were.....experienced..then master..then grand master..what now..really really grand master? lol.. i would love just regular quests that are interesting but not bad enough to make me totally stress out .
and once again..some brand new quests just for osrs maybe? that will give jagex a chance to use imagination and creativity as well as us...how about it jagex?.."new stuff" for our new old game? = D

oh..and in my opinion..the rares dropping is not going well..what it has amounted to is teams of people hopping and searchng24/7 and alot of people dont hardly stand a chance of getting one..there even botting rare searches...i was thinking that the places for the drops should not be the same every time..mix it up..maybe increase the luck of drop rates for people that dont have a bank full of rares already..idk if that ones possible but just sayng..i am feeling out of sorts wth searchng and im not getting alot of skilling getting done either..and i havent had a ton of luck..i didnt expect people to be making a bank off getting so many rares that there selling them..if i get em..im keeping em =]

or..as far as the rares..maybe making the number of each rare a person can pick up mght be the thng to do..i say pick up instead of own so that people wont get theres..sell them..then pick up more..if you wanna hoard them..then you can buy more off of people who wanna sell..but limit the amount able to be picked up? might work...

I think updates would be good for old school. no matter what runescape 2007 will still have that old school feeling. Some simple updates could improve it, other bigger updates can also improve the game as well. One thing i hear alot around old school is

. alot of people are wanting it updated into the game. I honestly don't see anything wrong with it, it would bring more items into the game and give people more bosses to slay and enjoy. Just take this into consideration please, :)
