I hear ya Librarian. I'm locked in for another 7 months myself (and waiting to see what type of graphics options will be available in RS3, to see if I'm able to continue playing the main game as well).

It really was such a simple idea too. Probably easier for them to do, than those f2p themed worlds.. and perhaps even easier than the pvp worlds being asked for even now.

I so nearly took a years subscription out when they launched Old School and I'm so glad I didn't. thinks Jagex should honour the results of the original Old School Poll

Even if Jagex split the worlds three ways (1) locked in no updates ever (2) as is now with Pk and updates (3) pre EOC with no pk and no free trade and updates - this forum would still be full of complaints. There is no way to satisfy everyone all the time.

By the way, number 3 would be my choice but I can still be happy and play as the game is now.

Interesting how your preference is one jagex already said they wouldn't offer (pre-eoc).

My idea wasn't really any different than the 2 f2p themed worlds they implemented for pkers... nor is it really all that different from the pvp worlds that pkers are currently asking for (and getting jagex support on).

In fact, my idea (generally speaking) would require no further effort on jagex's part (as it would be a couple of worlds where nothing was ever added).

No, they can't please everyone every time... but they could certainly please considerably more, this time.. and are choosing not to.

In a gaming industry as large as the current one is... and taking my games seriously at times... I don't feel I have to 'settle' for 'just being happy' with whatever they throw at this old game (especially when what they're throwing doesn't making me happy at all).

I don't play the game for 'what it can be'. I also know there are many players who would prefer pre-eoc. I do realize it will never happen because a large amount of players on eoc would prefer pre-eoc. That would impact on the game that Jagex has a large financial investment in, therefore it will never happen in the near future.

I play this game because I enjoy the general concept of the game and for the many friends I have met here. It keeps my mind active during my retirement.

content updates such as new monsters/bosses would be cool.

If something could be done about the bots, that would be better, as it ruins the game the most. It is very hard to make money because bots drive prices down and take resources, so it is easy to lose motivation to play.

But yes content is great. Please don't add the Grand exchange. While it is very convenient, it does not belong in osrs
