Wtf are you kidding? bonds??

So we can now buy 99 skills with bonds just like eoc scape?

Its obvious that the old school mods are controlled by the money hungry eoc mods.. The old school mods said they would never add pay to win/squeel of fortune to OSRS, but now they wanna add it *facepalm*

We've just sat down and worked out that to buy 99 prayer would cost about £300 ($500).

$500 isn't ridculous, if you go to a very popular RWT site (sounds like smythe) you will find magnitudes of people spending hundreds and hundred and hundreds and into the thousands of dollars EVERY DAY for RS GP. Please, take a look at the response you are receiving, hopefully back out of this without too much backlash, and be careful not to upset core players deeply held convictions about OSRS when suggesting things for poll in the future. We appreciate your hard work and so far OSRS is everything I hoped it would be. Keep in mind almost all of us have 1. become addicted to RS 2. quit RS when stuff like this become the norm. It can and will happen again.

Bonds only work on RS3 because the economy is already pay to win and riddled with microtransactions. The existing gold swap FC's sanctioned in this topic should be closed down and banned rather than introducing bonds to OSRS, "because it's a safer way to transfer gold".

Bonds are already freely available to OSRS via the existing system on RS3.

1. Make a new account (f2p)
2. Log into RS3 and make some coins (cowhides/zammy wines/polar kebbits)
3. Buy bond
4. Redeem against membership
5. Go play OSRS

OR
Risk using a gold swap FC and buy bond(s) on RS3 after your transactions.

I do not understand how this subject ever made it to a topic for OSRS as it's pretty clear it will fail any poll.

I'm likely going to quit old school if bonds pass a poll. Regardless of how much of an advantage people can gain by selling bonds, it's enough that I would no longer feel like I'm playing on the same field as other players of the game.

While I know people swap gold between games (which I also think should never have been allowed in the first place) the risk that comes with possibly getting scammed causes some people to turn away and I generally feel more even with a lot of the players in the game.

If there were two choices on a poll:

1) "Should we add bonds blah blah..."

2) "Should we never add micro-transactions into the game or bonds".

The second question probably has the higher chance of reaching the 75%.

If this is something that we feel could work for the game, we will need to educate ourselves on the reality of what introducing bonds would bring.

Bonds= Death of achievements

acheivements = 8/10s of the point of OSRS

therefore Bonds = death of 8/10s of the point to play OSRS.

No to Bonds, if anything yes to banning RS3 gp xfers.

If rwt through bonds is introduced to the game, I and many others will gladly quite. Let's not regress to RS3, where the hard work you put into your account is surpassed by RWTers. Ruins the whole point of the game, that hard work pays off.

OSRS is the last reason I stayed with Jagex. I was done with main on July 22nd, 2013. If bonds are introduced that allow RWT, I'm out, because that would be the first sign that this game is going back to the toilet.
