If Bounty Hunter is to be implemented into OSRS. I have two major things I do not want to see happen.

1) No craters. I feel that this would take away from the activity of the wilderness.

2) Implement the targeting system into an existing PVP world, and a few select wilderness worlds(Don't forget about F2pers ;) )

My suggestion to give Bounty Hunter a new twist:

Team Hunter;

- Allow groups of 2-5 people to be on the hunt for other teams within similar combat level ranges.
- As of right now I am not sure what the combat level range would be.

- Have this available for PVP worlds and select wilderness worlds.
- Implement the targeting system. The system would target the group leader.

- The Ring of Loyalty - Would be available from an NPC for free. This ring would allow players to create their teams on a world.
- The options would be to create a team. Leave Team. Break Truce
- The create a team option would prompt a player to enter a team name.
- The ring will not have any combat stats
- The ring will not allow you to attack a team mate.
However attacks such as Ice Barrage, or Chinchompa attacks that are capable of hitting multiple targets at once will still hurt team mates if casted on an enemy, and the teammate happens to be within range of the attack.
- if a player right clicks and selects "Break Truce" an in game message will appear on their now ex-teammates chat box letting them know "Beware of Zezima, he has broken our truce" or something else along those lines.
- Implementing this will allow players without a clan, to safely group up with other players and take on other teams of Runescape.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message made quickly on my cell phone on my lunch break at work.

Then give some constructive criticism and help figure a way out to not abuse the system.
ditch that plan and add bounty worlds same as back in the day. /end

Personally I would add the craters, remove PvP worlds and alter the wilderness.

More importantly...

I just don't see three different PvP systems co-existing. PvP areas are desolate as it is. Edgeville is bleak, often empty for most combat brackets besides pures, and in PvP worlds it can be really hard to find fights. It's also often the same players pking day in and day out.

With that being said it would be wise to add a BH mechanic to the wild/worlds or replace PvP worlds with a BH minigame. This could be polled.

:D

Secondly it will be important to have some type of reward system; gp, xp, armor, weapons, cosmetics, etc. To keep the mini-game thriving. (perhaps some more long-term stuff to set goals for)
Right now the risks outweigh the rewards for the average player as far as PvP goes - most active PKers have desired stats and gear.

Yes, Edgeville is dead. Putting in Bounty Hunter worlds with the EP system is the proper way to not only revitalize the PK community, but to encourage people to join that community. I have been PK'* for a long time, started my first account in RSC, and I have to say that the most affordable way to PK aside from being the luckiest person in the world was BH outside of the craters.

I do believe the reward system should have a way of limiting the impact it will have on the economy, such as bringing back some form of brawler, Corrupt/Non-corrupt armour and weapons, and statuettes. These items made not only getting kills exciting, but expanded the economy, imo, by pushing more money towards the skillers that made the potions, caught the fish, and created the armour and weapons.

It's a no-brainer to me. Keep the PvP worlds, as they are a place for both skillers and PvP oriented activity. Then, convert the current "Pk" worlds to include the BH mechanics.

Craters suck. Period. In 2009 when we had BH worlds, PKing was at its peak! The worlds ALWAYS had over 500 players! Dedicated to just PKing! I remember lagging so much when i first logged on to the world! It was better because people actually had to risk instead of rushing. Killing the target was the best part because of the additional loot. 2009 BH Worlds were a great part of Runescape tbh.

With an EP system, items that might be a good idea to include would be those that have risen in price to extreme levels due to the bot situation. A perfect example of the items in question would be Prayer Potions. Hi Mod Ronan

No support. And besides, why add a pking mini game which takes up a huge chunk of space in the wilderness when the wilderness is already a pvp environment? Bounty hunter was added in the original game as a substitute to the wilderness when it was taken out so that defeats it's purpose. And adding this mini game would also make the pking community more separated than it already is.

EXACTLY. Craters would be a pointless further division of the pking community. Bounty Hunter worlds are the way to go.
