There's really no valid reason to implement bounty hunter. This is an old school game and putting bounty hunter back in only gets it closer to being 2008 or 2009scape. It was only an attempt to fix something that shouldn't have happened in the first place. Just forget it.

Definitely agree. There are more important things that could be done. The community isn't in an uproar over not having bounty hunter. I honestly forgot about it myself. Don't implement it. The whole reason behind having it in the first place is not warranted in old school

A PvP system using Bounty Hunter mechanics actually got more votes as a first priority than clan wars. Clan wars was implemented already.
So there are people out there who would like to see some kind of system added...
the best thing about craters was absolutely the fact that you cant just teleport out of every fight and penalties were an interesting feature but without trade limit this mechanic seems little useless.
Personally I would add the craters, remove PvP worlds and alter the wilderness.
More importantly...
I just don't see three different PvP systems co-existing. PvP areas are desolate as it is. Edgeville is bleak, often empty for most combat brackets besides pures, and in PvP worlds it can be really hard to find fights. It's also often the same players pking day in and day out.
With that being said it would be wise to add a BH mechanic to the wild/worlds or replace PvP worlds with a BH minigame. This could be polled.
Secondly it will be important to have some type of reward system; gp, xp, armor, weapons, cosmetics, etc. To keep the mini-game thriving. (perhaps some more long-term stuff to set goals for)
Right now the risks outweigh the rewards for the average player as far as PvP goes - most active PKers have desired stats and gear.

Oldschool community is already small enough as it is. All BH will do is divide the pkers even more... We don't need Wildy, PvP Worlds, and BH.
I would much rather see something like Fist of Guthix come back instead of BH.
FOG was a fun 1v1 minigame where you had a selected target and it actually required some strategy other than just killing your opponent as fast as possible.

I loved the original craters for bounty hunter once they were changed so you could only pile your target. It cut out the wait of trying to find someone and allowed you to get straight to the combat, which the later version did not do. Once PVP worlds were released I used the PVP worlds for the thrill of the hunt while bounty hunter was when I just wanted to kill people. I believe they could exist side by side with ease.
However if bounty hunter comes in with craters they should not be located in the wilderness: the destruction of a large portion of wilderness was and still is a shame. It would probably be something neat to see on the new continent.
I do not see any reason to not add bounty hunter again. If people do not want to play it they don't have to. That doesn't mean those who want to play it should not be allowed to. As long as no additional monetary value is added (like additional rewards for kills) then it will not impact the economy of the game and those who do not want to play BH should not be impacted by it being implemented into the game. What should really be up for discussion is whether it should be the arena or the entire world. Not whether or not it should come back. Let those who want to play it play, as long as it does not affect those who do not.
As of now multi pking is still pretty dead. Making the center of the arena (and maybe one of the entrances) multi would give clans and teams a concentrated area to fight as well as adding a 1v1 zone around the perimeter. It seems like everyone would win here. Maybe I am wrong but it is an idea.
