To put the BH crater in use I'd suggest filling the crater with some slayer monsters (Hellhounds & Dust Devils for example and perhaps some new ones designed by players) and
adding a new Wilderness slayer master .
The suspicious looking slayer master would be located near the BH crater entrance inside or outside the safe zone and would assign slayer monsters inside the BH crater and sometimess bosses and other creatures outisde the BH crater to balance the experience. There would also be an option to unlock a task where you would be assigned to kill other players. The task would be quite rare though and offer very little experience to avoid abuse.

In my earlier post I suggested adding the old BH crater in its old place in the mid-Wilderness and expanding the target system to consist all of the Wilderness area. To put the empty BH crater in use I suggested filling the crater with slayer monsters and creating a new Wilderness slayer master. In this post I will try to explain the idea a bit further.

The main reason why I think this or something similiar should be added in the game is to attract more people in Wilderness and, as said earlier, to put the BH crater in use ( adding the BH crater is imperative to establish a credible deep Wilderness PK scene ). But in my opinion this would also be a very good opportunity to in a way combine PvM and PvP by offering people who train slayer an opportunity to train in BH servers if slaying in normal worlds got too boring and also a chance for PKers to get their slayer up while keeping their eyes open at the same time.

Important questions about the new slayer master include what combat(/slayer?) level is required, how difficult tasks can be assigned and how many reward points are given per task. Originally I considered that the new slayer master's difficulty level should be somewhere between Chaeldar and Nieve, ...

...but then I reasoned that this is a Wilderness slayer master we are talking about. So what I suggest is that there would be no combat level requirement for the new slayer master but instead a slayer level requirement (which could be 55-75 for example). The tasks would vary between good tasks like Ankous, Dust Devils and Helhounds for example and not-so-good tasks like some lower-level monsters in difficult locations or Wilderness bosses.

So the tasks would vary between good XP and not-so-good XP tasks but the amount of slayer points given per task should in my opinion be quite high (20-25). This is because it would without doubt attract people to complete their "important" tasks (every 10th, every 50th) in Wilderness to gain more slayer points. After all, the most important thing is to get more people to enter the Wilderness.

The increased amount of slayer points would be put to use by adding some new content that can be unlocked. Perhaps there could be a change to craft some new untradeable items that would benefit PKers (say, a new slighly improved version of the amulet of power for deep Wilderness PKers) or a chance to unlock a task where you'd be assigned to kill other players! The task would be quite rare though and offer very little experience to avoid abuse. But the result of this would be that people would now be able to fight each other while benefiting from the slayer mask. The downside of this would be that you could consider this overpowered or unfair due to the black mask's price. Anyway, this is merely speculation about new content that could be added to accompany a new slayer master.

So, here were some ideas about new content that would put the BH crater in use if the crater was added and the minigame expanded to consist the whole Wilderness area.

Bounty Hunter Wolrds

-Targets
-EP (can actually profit from pking)
-PVP armors (many accounts have a certain "build" that optimize these armors and weapons that would like to see them back in the game)
-Needed to have 75k risk on you or you wouldn't gain EP (bye bye raggers!)
-PJ timer

Bounty Hunter Craters

-Targets
-Value display skull above your head
-Team based pking

I find myself extremely bias when trying to put together all of the good things i found when using the different versions of bounty hunter. My first experience with craters wasn't a sound one as anyone's first time pking probably isn't. I geared up in my fresh F2P green d hide on my first members world on an account named "Pvp God77" my chocalate cakes in tow. Instantly speced out by a dds and my heart leapt. I had never felt so much excitement while playing a video game in my life! I was determined now, i had to learn everything there was about pking.

Years later we come to the release of the Bounty Hunter Worlds. By this time Pvp God77 had become a main and i was experimenting with new pures. This led me to join pking clans and delve deeper into a community i never knew existed. My foundest memories came from running around the west hill north of edgeville scared for my life (being that the little hills to the north were always peppered with ancient mages) just so that i could come stand with members of my clan and gain earned potential or EP. More so, i loved watching them PK their targets and the spams of excitement when a crazy good item dropped. Eventually i tried my hand at a little higher risk pking like some of my buddies and found that i was profiting, not just profiting, thriving. I was thriving and becoming more wealthy in the game than i had ever seen myself before! I soon was an addict, addicted to the PVP experience and i havent't stopped since!

I support the release of targets and EP with greater rewards. I support a minimum risk mechanism to dispose of 'raggers'.

Thank You(:

Craters suck. Period. In 2009 when we had BH worlds, PKing was at its peak! The worlds ALWAYS had over 500 players! Dedicated to just PKing! I remember lagging so much when i first logged on to the world! It was better because people actually had to risk instead of rushing. Killing the target was the best part because of the additional loot. 2009 BH Worlds were a great part of Runescape tbh.

I do not support bounty hunter craters regardless of what anybody else says. There is a chance it would negatively impact wilderness use or vice versa. Also, we have plenty of 1 vs 1 pvp mini-games. Remember the bounty hunter craters were designed originally to be a replacement for the wilderness. A crappier version that is.

Also I think bounty hunter arena would suffer from low attendance eventually.

I think bounty hunter worlds would be a lot better idea. Players are free to kill whoever they want while still choosing to find their target. It is a superior idea and ultimately will get more attendence then craters ever would.

Step 1. Remove PVP worlds.
Step 2. Add in BH aspect to wilderness on all worlds.
Step 3. Give BH one 'labeled' world as the main one.

This should consolidate all pvping into the wilderness [where it should be] while also adding an additional caveat to pking plus clues plus pvm within the wilderness.

Create a system that matches players combat level and geographical location. Do not make a system where a level 70 pure may be paired with a 126. Also make it so they need to be relatively close. Do not pair someone at Mage Bank with someone doing Edgy PKing. Finally you need to add a toggle so people can get a larger level range. The point of this is in case of low population BH would still work.

Example say at Mage Bank a level 100 would be given people level 90-110 for targets. However if they have the extended toggle activated they would be targeted 75-125.

Finally you should add in a code where if say you are just pking and your target comes up on you, they as your target have the ability to interrupt combat and attack you even if you are fighting someone else. This means that anytime you enter the wildy you always need to watch your back.

^ PvP worlds really have to go. It's killed the wilderness. Dealing with a bunch of safe zone huggers and people 20 lvls higher rushing you is no fun either.

I enjoyed BH craters and worlds. It sounds like more people want BH worlds with EP and Target systems. As the people noted, this is where pking reached its peak. Although the EP system had flaws, it was fun. I want to see this again whether or not it is abused.

There's 1 thing we need; however, and that is we need more people pking in the same world in the same area. That means either world 302 edge/wild or purely 325 World. Splitting the pk community in two was bad enough. Let's get the pk community in 1 world and in 1 place.
