I would definitely vote for craters, and not worlds. The reason being, I loved the bounty hunter craters system when it was released, and even though I sucked at it (I was like level 70 so I could only go into the 50-100 crater) I loved the aspects of it like the skulls showing risk, the penalty that didn't let you leave (essentially forcing a tank test) and other things about it that brought good memories (I especially remember running back and forth between the BH crater bank and the Clan Wars arena each time I wanted to change gear).
Bounty hunter worlds... oh boy, where to begin. 76k'ing was a terrible oversight and the way you could just AFK and get 100% EP easily was a joke. The fact it covered the entire wilderness didn't make it feel special compared to normal wilderness, except the fact you get free Dragon Full helms or Dragonfire shields for your kills on your friend. Once I remember killing a guy who was wearing full corrupt dragon (I pk'ed in f2p BH crater/worlds because I didn't have all the fancy top-end p2p gear) and I got like, 7 trout and a mith longsword. I wouldn't bother with bounty hunter worlds unless you want to add loads of rare items into the game.
This update isn't for the sake of nostalgia. Why is a forced tank test something that you want to deal with everytime you want to pk? If people abusing the EP system is everyone's only real problem with Bounty Hunter worlds then I'm sure Jagex will think of a solution to remedy that.
Also, for the hundredth time, there was no free trade back then, so EP was the only way you could get a drop. Now that free trade is back EP would mean ADDITIONAL loot along with whatever you pk off the person you kill. Don't act like that is something you wouldn't like.
