The Kraaken sounded good from the first time I read it months ago!

Also, Exot's idea on page 2 is brilliant. Good job to you, sir.

Also good job to everyone else who I may not have seen who didn't simply rehash stuff that already came out years ago.

Is this Jagex saying they've run out of ideas, so now its our turn to think of some?

No? They can easily make a dungeon or something and put in some random boss that hits 20s everytime. Give it some backstory about why we should kill him because he/she wants to destroy the world and viola.

But they want us to decide. Be happy they are listening to us and are willing to let us choose and even design our own content. I don't know many game devs teams that are so involved with their community as the OSRS dev team.

no, they are saying that they are listening to us. some of us (wonder who) have been complaining for weeks that they aren't listening, so they are doing this in response.

I love how so many people have suggested quest and supported them.

Ok heres my idea...

In each major town, there should be a giant statue of me so every1 can worship me. Also, everyone should have to pay a tax to me everyday.

Whats every1's thoughts on this?

This is going out on a limb, but you did ask for things we believed will help the game, but are possible. I believe we need a new skill.

All the items needed are in game. Basically, all the items are from the rag man quest line recolored for the different monsters.

With new weapons getting stronger all the time, we need a means of reducing the chances of a one hit kill. I believe a new skill I call absorption would be the ticket (the name could easily be changed). On the offensive side, you have strenth and attack skills. On the defensive side, all you have is defense. Hit points are not on either side since you cant train it. I believe absorption would balance the two sides. It would, of course, affect you combat levels. Training it would be the same as training the other three skills.

at level 1, you have zero absorption ability, but as you go higher, your ability increases until at 99, you have the ability to absorb (block mainly) 25% of any damage that comes your way, no matter which side its from.

In addition, you gain the ability to add new items to armor as it increases. Just as the triangle says, each item will gain you more absorption in the side of the triangle that its based, while costing you your absorption on the opposite side. A level 99 meleer with his armor enhanced with all melee items would find himself only able to absorb 5% of the damage from mage, instead of 25%. on the opposite side, a ranger would only do half the damage he would normally do to the meleer.

This is only a suggestion for the amount of damage it would do or absorb. I really dont know how to do the melee to melee damage. I do know the damage should be decreased for the right side of the triangle and decreased for the opposite side.
