Fantastic to see Jagex not only wanted to build Old school runescape, but have the players help do it.

Truely, this is a fantastic move by Jagex.

The runes ammo box:

Currently runes in Runescape have a big disadvantage, which is space. Mages have to carry their current runes around everywhere, which costs space for food and potions. So instead, why not create a box in which you can save your runes, a box which is held in ammo slots?

The concept is basic but can be expanded:
- A simple short quest that takes place in the mage tower in draynor, a crazy magician has got the idea of creating a mystical box that would hold runes for you. Blah, blah, blah, after a whole hour of work you finish the quest and get the box as a reward and as an additional reward, the ability to expand your own runes box for a small cost of materials and money.

Normal Box: The normal runes box will only hold an infinite amount of runes, but only one type at a time. It will give +1% magic damage, accuracy and defense.

Expanding the runes box:
Upgrade 1: The box will hold 1 type of runes at the beginning and the magicial will expand it to 2 types of rune (any) for a price of 25k and a gold diamond. It will give +2% magic damage, accuracy and defense.

Upgrade 2: The magician will upgrade the runes box to hold 3 types of runes. Upgrade 1 is required. This will cost 100k and a dragonstone. It will give +3% magic damage, accuracy and defense.

Upgrade 3: The magical will upgrade the runes box to hold 4 types of runes, all the other upgrades are required. The upgrade costs 200k and an onyx stone will be needed. It will give +4% magic damage, accuracy and defense.

Further upgrading the box:
- For those of you that are really into magic, you will get the chance to make the box give you one type of rune for an infinite amount. This only works with elemental runes, just like the magic staffs. Go to the magician with 5k of that rune and 100k. The magicians will imbune the runes into the box so it gives you an infinite amount of it. This will stack with the magic staffs, meaning that you can have two types of runes in an infinite way.

Okay, here's a quest idea.

Welcome to the Nightmare

Quest log info.

I can start this quest by speaking to Cyrisus north of Yanille near the Nightmare Zone.

I will need to have completed the following quests:

Dream Mentor
Shadow of the Storm

Cyrisus has been summoned by Dominic Onion. Entrants to the Nightmare Zone are having strange things happen to them. Some have gone missing, while others return having ominous visions in their heads, and muttering about the return of a demon. Onion has chosen Cyrisus because of his prior experiences with the Inadequacy on Lunar Island. After an initial investigation, however, Cyrisus realizes this job is too big for him to take on by himself, so he's turning to the adventurer he trusts the most: You.

With the help of Cyrisus, you'll journey into a new portion of the Nightmare Zone, facing creatures similiar to the Inadequacy, the Untouchable, and other dream creatures, as well as creatures you may have met elsewhere. You'll also have to investigate around Yanille and speak to Zavistic of the Magic Guild, in order to find out who or what is behind this, and, eventually, defeat them both in the dream world and in the waking world.

Combat will not be too much harder than Dream Mentor or Shadow of the Storm, and at times you will have some NPC backup. The main antagonists are of course a dark wizard operating in the area and an ancient demon that's sealed beneath the Yanille agility dungeon (but is still capable of influencing people's dreams, and is trying to use the Nightmare Zone as well as the dark wizard to help in his escape).

Defeating these enemies and saving the dreamers of Yanille will win you XP in the combat skills, an upgraded Darklight/Silverlight/whateverlight, and access to a new variant of the Nightmare Zone (you can come up with the specifics of that yourself).

Minigame name: Elven Stronghold

Availability of minigame: Open to all, but a higher level will insure your teams success.

Location: The city of Prifddinas. This general area is never used and hasn’t been unlocked yet in RS3, thus making the Prifddinas area useable by other means. This area of the map will be used and expanded a bit to complete the city. The city would maintain a crystal barricade around it. The area would be accessible near the Arandar gate.

Inside description: There would be two hubs for each team on each side. The two color dots in the photo is where the spawn points would be. Each spawn would be protected by a barrier indicated by the colored lines which can only be passable one way. Inside each hub several tables would be accessible for materials needed in the battle. The tables would consist of the following: band aids, bronze picks, barricades, wooden essence (brown colored essence), tinderboxes, construction bench to make traps from the wooden essence. The journey to the center where the capture point is would be riddled with pathways that can be trapped by the enemy team. Certain areas will have pillars to insert the wooden essence trap (a model of the pillars in the cosmic altar would be nice when a trap is laid in the area to warn people, normal when none are in the area). The traps can only be made if you have a certain construction level to make them. They can be disarmed with the thieving ability, but failure to disarm can result in being diseased (kind of like ogre coffins). Shortcuts can be passable if the appropriate level is met for it. The maze would consist of rocks and crystals that could be mined in certain areas and would generally lead to the center. The center would consist of a castle (dark knight fortress) but this castle would not have any doors and all four entrances would have bridges and entrance access. The four tower areas would house tunnel entrances that would lead to the center room.

This center room would monitor players of each team and allocated points to that team every minute for each person (1 point for each person).

Object of the minigame: This minigame would kind of be like a king of the hill concept( the whole area is a safe pvp zone, where the teams get points for how many people are in the center room each minute. The two teams must navigate through a maze to get to the center castle which can be entered from any side. People can mine certain rocks for shortcuts. People can make traps and lay the traps/barricades to slow the other team’s progress to get to the center. Max traps that can be laid per team at a time would be two; max barricades would be 10 per team. The game would last 20 minutes. 5 minutes to queue.

What you will get with your points: Points after the game would be allocated on your teams score; they may vary each time due to team progress in the minigame. The possible rewards from the minigame could include but is not limited to the following: crystal seeds, crystal enchants into bow, shield, halberd(must be unlocked first) at no money cost, Elf Crystal Halberd unlock mentioned in a quest storyline but never appeared in game(70 attack to wield, modeled after d hally model with crystal texture). Elf Crystal Wand unlock never mentioned but would be nice to have(70 magic, masterwand model),different herb gloves (highest would be dwarf weed, only can be worn if herblore level meets requirements to ID that herb), Elven Crystal (allows the user to contact a chosen slayer master for another assignment without having to visit them or cast a spell(12 times), can be recharged with further points). Elf Crystal Halberd unlock mentioned in a quest storyline but never appeared in game(70 attack to wield). Possibly exchange points for experience on a 1 to 5 or 10 ratio in the following skills, construction, mining, agility, thieving, and combat skills excluding prayer and hp.

*edited to add crystal hally and crystal wand unlock

Quest name: The Matchup of Swiftcut

Difficulty: Hard

QP Reward: 3

Rewards: Your choice of either a Swiftcut Scimitar or Swiftcut Halberd. Rechargable 10 hrs

Appearance of the Swiftcut weapons: Reddish orange/ rust colored. (Both based of dragon models).

Special attacks: Swiftcut Scimitar spec is the exact animation of the dragon scimitar so no need to make new graphics, except it slices twice really fast for 25% increased damage too. Swiftcut halberd same spec as dragon halberd except can be used in pvp and 15% increased damage than what it was before.

Strength bonus on scimitar: 76 (10 higher than the dragon scimitar but still 6 lower than the abyssal whip).

Strength bonus on halberd: 97 (8 higher than dragon).

Quest story-line: A new race of dwarfs are discovered, said to be living in the depths of the desert, underground.
You hear Thurgo talk of a distinct, almost extinct race of dwarfs (Jopkin dwarfs) living there.
He has been trying to tell someone for ages now but they keep disregarding him, the museum claims they've looked everywhere but haven't found a single one.

He sends you on a mission to find them. You have to search for a sand trapdoor tunnel which is located in the south-west desert. Once you discover it, you must talk to the ancient dwarfs (2 are now alive) and they tell you if you help them with an issue they have, causing them to lose their people, they will reward you will their discoveries. They need you to have the people of Sophanem sign a treaty with them allowing their people to use their banks. You try asking nicely but they will only agree if you help them with an upcoming bandit raid. Once that is done, they say they will only help you and the jopkins if they are told how to find this reusable technology.

Opt1: Option 1 for the ending, the jopkin decline and furiously attack the people of sophanem, slaughtering them and taking over the place.

Opt2: Second ending, Jopkin agree and they make a treaty, they are now an alliance.

Original message details are unavailable.
Brutal Dragons now have the possibility of dropping Dragon metal shards rarely that can be attached permanently to rune claws to obtain Dragon claws with 5 shards.

this is an interesting idea, but why limit it to only dragon claws. shards can be attacked to things like rune picks to make dragon picks (with suitable smithing levels) or rune crossbows to make dragon crossbows (with suitable fletching) or other rune items that have no dragon companion.

Original message details are unavailable.

The scope is as wide as you want it to be, if you can design any content using existing graphics, then go for it!
