Well here we go again "old school" means old school let the game be its fun now all the new changes only make the game to easy to play and we will all get bored again like on rs3 i had fun walking every where before i could earn my way to teleport it was fun clicking one bone at a time to earn prayer now we have x times added thats not fair to the people that got 99 doing one click at a time. slow down on the changes please. I am sorry to be negative but thats how i feel about all these new updates to what IS or WAS old school runescape I played since october 2004 ONE CLICK AT A TIME FOR ALL MY SKILLS BACK THEN, and had a blast earning my way up. peace my gaming friends have fun.

Idiot how is spamming to trade items all day fun? by the time you've sold an item you could of made more cash than the actual item than selling it.... Easy to play? o stfu about that this ****** up community always says **** excuses "ommgmogmogmgmg this makes the game easy" I got an idea when an update that makes the game super easy comes in *looks at the arma alch update* how about you ******* vote no???????? Now you can arma with no risk and it ruins an arma item sink, I'm sure that's more game changing than this update that's needed. This current trading system doesn't work with the current amount of players and also the overamount of trading bots.

Don't even dare compare this game to rs3. If this is "oldschool runescape" then the GE was in the "oldschool runescape" period too. And if you've played since 2004 you'd realise this current system is in absolutely noway near to the system in 07.

sry but i cant unerstan the poeple saying dont bring the action house (g.e)
sometimes i need 10000000 hours to sell my stuff ,so why do u guys being such an idiot , i just want to sell my stuff fast and not spamming my whole life .......
pls bring the g.e out now !!!!!!!!!

Will oldschool really turn into a RS3 anyway?

I really wonder when noobs start begging for high detail, dragon claws and all such kind of trash, recently a hasta came out.
I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of stakers prefere to stake in F2p soon, at least you won't get scammed/surprised by annoying superduper overpowered grand new weapons and stuff. The only problem left is xlogging in some cases.


I think a lot of players might quit with updates like this, merchanting becomes close near impossible the way things go now and just like in RS3, most people will probably turn their private chat to off or friends because of updates like this.


Does anyone know a private server that's actually like oldschool?

I feel the auction house is a good solution. It could use a few minor changes
No offline trading
Give a range of buying and selling prices instead of just the average

Essentially this is like **b. People out up what they are selling and how many
You scroll to find a good price. You add them to trade
End of contact

The picture of the old ge really set off some red flags in a lot of people's minds but the worse part of the ge was the set prices

Overall good idea
If you quit because of this. You don't understand this is how trading has been all along

Again, I must state that I hope Jagex knows what they're doing here. Let's admit it guys, most of us here use a third party website for basically all of our trades, and for the time being I think we should just leave it at that.

As for the ongoing issues regarding World 1 Varrock, you have to remember that there were issues with trade going on there since the beginning practically. World 2 Falador back in the day had a lot of activity going on, but from what I remember it wasn't much better. So in short, World 1 always had problems, even on Classic. If you can't handle the spam messages and find it difficult to not get scammed, then tough luck.

For now we'll just have to wait and see.
