All you people raging like 12 year olds " OMG this is 2007 runescape NO G.E" need to relax. G.E came out at the end of 2007 you derps. People don't wanna stand in W1 and spam for an hour trying to buy an item for its price than giving up. We shouldn't have to go to a third party website to post buy/sell offers. And if 75% of the OldSchool population pass it and your threaten to rage quit if it does please do cause its obvious you have the maturity level of a 10 year old.

all for it. If your claim against this happens to be "it's called oldschool for a reason" You need to climb out from under your rock and take a look at the gaming world. Sure spamming in w1 varrock was nostalgic but it's just annoying now, even with the official autotyper. I have to use * * *** for 99% of my transactions as to not get a headache from seeing a screen full of text for two hours. If you have ever played WoW you will know that an auction house is a great tool for trading and can even stimulate some of the more annoying items to get in the current oldschool runescape market. The difference is that unlike WoW runescape doesn't have 20 billion items and there will be enough players selling the same items on the auction house to keep a relatively similar price that will be stable and reliable that would most likely only crash or spike depending upon supply and demand(just like now). In short, the auction house is exactly what we have now, trimmed and cleaned up into a nice neat little interface in one location(or perhaps two)? Most of us are past the point of nostalgia and we realize that in order to keep this game alive and expand its borders we need more people and we need some sort of trading structure to support that. If you seriously see flaw in a trading system(THAT WE CONTROL) you should probably just make an iron man account.

Please don't made GE. Beacause than OS=EOC.
I play OS because there are not GE.

In OS all items have normal price. But if made GE there price go down and many people don't play OS anymore.

I like if there will be "market place" where i see what people sell or buy. And i can offer him/her my items. But when people is log off i can trade with him.
But i don't like GE because than some boot make offer with big demping price and all RS market sistem is brouken.
Example. Rune bar cost 14k but rune hatchet 7k.
Can someone expain how it is imposibly in real life when producion cost less than raw materials 2 times or more?

To all of the people opposing this update due to the 'lack of social interaction':

How many people do you trade with per month? Hundreds? And how many of those people stay on your friends list and become your BFF? I am willing to bet there are very few. I believe people tend to make lasting friendships with those they encounter frequently in the game - same world, same activity, same quest, or whatever. Trading is most likely to be a one time only thing if you are trading with whoever is online at the time you are looking to also trade. It COULD become something more if player1 regularly offers what player2 regularly wants to buy, but these trades usually change with time as the players level up.

I've had people not respond to multiple IMs, people who don't update their trade status on the 3rd party sites, and I've been cursed soundly for not accepting less than my offered price just because they were 'buying in bulk and deserved a discount'. I personally avoid W1 like the plague because I can't tell who of the 2 dozen people standing in the same square is selling what as only half post their name in their autochat. You love W1? I hate it. You love 1 to 1 meeting? Not everyone does. No update will EVER make everyone happy.

The fact is that people voted for this update. You will not be forced to use it. But you can add some ideas to help make it BETTER than the old GE was. Stop stomping your feet like spoiled children and threatening to quit if this goes through. Help make it into something that is not totally evil.

I would like to suggest that the price each be displayed for trades that allow partials. I would also suggest that there could be a way to specify online only trades as well. These people could haggle and meet to trade all they like and those open to offline trading could do so too.
I also like having the offers expire after 48 hours.
It would also be nice if you could see all offers from a player by clicking their name.
