Think this is a good possible solution, I would love to see this polled as the following;

Would you like the auction house solution?
Would you like to see the Grand Exchange implemented?
Would you like to see a different type of solution?
Would you like to see things remain as they are?


Personally I think the Grand Exchange is great, and people are bashing on it because it is a "RS3 idea" and god forbid theres an RS3 thing in old school :p But in an anonymous poll, I think it might see more support. The auction house could be great though, Both are great time savers as the current system is a giant pain after we've all seem the convenience of the GE


clearly you did not read any previous posts of people disagreeing and are obviously just going out on a wim. that is not the reason why people do not want the ge. read previous posts.

My feedback:

I think there should be a price guide in order to avoid volatile competition that'd mainly hinder sellers.

I also think trades should remain anonymous.

E.g of the proposed system being a problem:
Player A decides to sell Item X for 120 gp ea.
Player B looks up that item X because he also wants to sell (and quick), and since he knows Player A is selling EXACTLY for 120gp, he sells his stack for 110gp ea.

Now, as we all know, 95% of the players will ALWAYS go for the cheaper option, much more now considering they'll be allowed to partially AND KNOWINGLY buy from an offer and not its full volume.

Player A probably logged out for an hour or 2 and will find that his offer got outdated in mere minutes. This could very easily apply for items that have a big supply and slightly less than average demand.

The fact that we can now see who's selling what and for how much adds volatility to the market.

So please, consider adding a price guide and also make the offers anonymous.

All these changes lack practical use whilst artificially increasing player interaction. But what most fail to realise is that players couldn't give a damn about interaction when all they want is to get the items for a quest/adventure/skill, etc.

tl;dr: the auction house is simply a glorified ***** (that fansite with the trading feature - stupid censor...), endorsed by Jagex... and it needs some serious work.

Please stop going on about the GE people - it was voted on already and the majority said "NO"

as for the time frame of the sale being up after I log off? I am thinking 5 hours... but I guess this is something that would need to be polled.

I assume if I stay online, or log back in, my auction will remain?

That's all very nice, but if you're going to use the grand exchange project build, why not just re-introduce it as the grand exchange? It's basically what we voted for, no need to make it ugly. Constructive Criticism, not negative.

At the end of the day, it makes selling junk items a lot easier, because we can just leave it there, and not to mention, that we actually could do with some guidance when it comes to trading.

At the end of the day, everyone wants to easily sell their stuff and everyone wants to buy things easily. **** isn't cutting it, unfortunately. Hurt

Grand Exchange was never voted on, Jmods just said it would never come to Old School Runescape... well... look again :S Hurt
