tax should be 0.5% of the total cost!!!
lets say I'm buying d chain for 10m

i pay 10m+ 50k tax

Waaaay too little. An item costing 10m should motivate you to try and buy it outside of the trade system, in order to save money.

5-10% tax. So if you want to drop 10m on an item, either you pay 500k-1M in order to buy it instantly, or you hunt somebody down in a different world to save that 500k-1M. It gives the old trading system some purpose.

that's absolutely horrible, 500k to sell 10m seriously not worth it, no one will use the system

good! then they will have to trade the hard way. if we seriously do get this auction house then yeah tax shud absolutly be 10% if not more. There should be atleast a huge disadvantage to using this or else there will be no world 1 trading anymore, and in turn there will be no nistaslgia to old school runescape.

So in other words you don't mind this update coming out so people will stop complaining about it, as long as it is completely useless and non-used content?

It would be nice if the design wouldn't look like the old grand exchange, yes I know its only a basic quick thing thrown out there. But people who see it at first will think its just like the grand exchange and be turned off by it. Also I think it should expire between 24-48 hours.

What if you need a greenman's ale, or dragon dagger? 1-2k doesn't sound too bad now, does it?

Remember, 10M is a pretty significant purchase. The Auction House would be meant for smaller trades, like quest or convenient items. Regular trading would be meant for expensive items, or bulk.

But I suppose most players don't care about balance.

I really am intrigued by this idea and i think it could work but it shouldn't be implemented with the cost of player interaction. We need player interaction and everyone who was around during the G.E. release saw the drastic decline in player interaction. I think maybe there should be a daily trade window or something like that. Just like the stock market the auction house closes at a certain time daily. Idk if that'd be practical/possible but just an idea.

I agree we need a money sink, but 10% is outrageous unless you're trying to buy some little items for quest,

I think less than 1m trade should be 10%, over 1m trade should be 1% over 10m trade should be 0.5%

This is a fantastic idea.

I would appreciate an option you can select with the bankers of RuneScape. More specifically, it would be great to be able to right click on a banker and open this interface and trade, instead of going to some place as we did with the Grand Exchange. :)

ok jagex so please listen to this

okay so here is an example of my question layed out in a real situation

okay so say I have 100 dragon stones or something yea we will go with d stones.

so I put 100 dragon stones up for sale in the a uction, but how many people are going to be abl to afford all at once, okay so it needs to be like, I put all 100 up for a set price, then I offer to sell them to you 1 by 1 or more for a price each that's higher than if you were to buy all at once. I hope that's how they make it because that's more sophisticated.
