I swear half the people on this forum thread just try and parrot each other. You all go on about the same things, do you even think about the issues/benefits yourself? Or do you just look at the first thing you see and decide to reword it a little bit to make it sound like it's your unique opinion?

You all go on about "manipulation", yet if you looked at the original post by Mod Mat K and decided to utilise those few brain cells you actually possess, you'd realise the minute details that would prevent little bits.

Also, this "social" aspect I keep reading about is getting quite tedious. The forum shows a MOCK photo of what the Auction House will look like - this is not the final draft by far. Stop subpoenaing the idea based on the first draft; this is only there to give players a basic feel of what is to come. It is not there as a way of saying: "This is what's happening. Deal with it." For all you know, they could add/remove things so it does require more socialising, although I don't see how this is worse than the Grand Exchange at all, as you do actually have the choice on who you're trading with, etc.

This may be similar to the Grand Exchange, but the two things are not the same. Those who are shutting this idea down because it shares similarities to the Grand Exchange are brain dead and annoyingly narrow minded. Give something a chance before you decide it's the next black plague. I see several differences between this and the Grand Exchange. I wasn't too fond of the Grand Exchange, yet I love the ideas proposed for this new Auction House. Open up your minds, stop chanting the same regurgitated, nostalgic crap from the first person you see, you robotic parrots.

I really don't want to see something like this put into OSRS because to me it just doesn't feel old school. Trading is fine right now just the way it is. It's not and "issue" and doesn't need a "solution" :O Unfortunately, my vote on this is going to have to be a no.

There is no "trading solution" i played the game since in 05. so what if you had to walk up to players and ask to buy their rune kite they had on and they would reply "nfs". Do you even know what nfs means? If you haven't played 07 then don't complain. Sad to see that this update is bound to happen. lol why am i even getting so emotional and typing this much for a game i should have quit years ago imdone

Just came back from a bit of absence, and I hear about a trading problem. I go ingame, and do a couple of trades. I really don't see a problem. So, uh, yeah. Problem must have been fixed or something.

This seems to be the exact opposite of what I was hoping for, this is going to basically eliminate the need for interaction between players, having the ability to look at the lowest priced sellers is ultimately going to make prices drop, and I mean I generally don't feel connected with the "conservatives" of Runescape as I like to call them (the players who don't want any updates), but this just seems like it's going one step in the wrong direction. I quit Runescape 2 early 2008 because the Grand Exchange destroyed the economy as I knew it and I didn't want to relearn how everything worked, it seems to me that we are fixing a problem by changing the game instead of realizing that the problem isn't with the game but with the players. I'm worried that the same thing that happened with the release of the Grand Exchange is going to happen now and honestly if it does I'm going to quit for good.

We polled players' preconceived notions about a trading solution instead of polling what they want fixed.

Half the "problem" has already been solved. It's now possible to go to even Varrock w1 and easily see what's buying or selling.

The other half, "impossible" to find buyers for most items, we've thought up many ideas to solve that without instant or offline trade. Would it not be much easier to create an in-game forum? I appreciate the work you've done but I have to vote no AH. It's just way beyond helping in an area of need.

I was a little sceptical about a 'trading solution' to begin with, thinking it would be exactly the same as the GE, which although I like in Rs3 I wouldn't want in OldSchool (inb4commentsonmebeinganoobonosrs). But I actually like this solution.

I especially like the fact that there's not a guide price on items, so although you can buy items pretty much instantly, you do have to take time and use your brain to get the best offer. :)

EDIT: tbh I'm still a little against Offline trade... I think being able to leave your offer whilst doing other things on RS (basically trading without having to waste time on it) is a good idea though.
