The game would die out eventually without updates, as much as I would like to play the game the way it used to be the player base/growth just isn't enough without updates.

This argument comes up a lot.
Many of the people opposing this update in particular will oppose every update, we all know that. However, me and many others totally agree that osrs will die without new content. That is why so much new content has passed already. We just don't think this content in particular is worth adding to the game; it's better if the developers put their mindpower to things that are hard to say no to, like quests. New skills are too easy to hate.

That's fine and I sort of agree with you on some of the things included in the blog currently but they can always be worked on/tweaked to something more acceptable and more welcomed by the community.

That being said, there are a lot of people in the "no updates ever" group that just don't seem to realize what would actually happen if this game actually received zero major content updates. (Wilderness rejuvenation/gwd etc)

I would like to get through to them. :P

Mod Mat K:
Using your resources
Once you have collected your resources and have received your artisan XP you will have the option of asking the artisan for another gathering assignment or a crafting assignment. If you choose another gathering assignment, your slayer master will give you one and you can keep the resources you have already gathered.

I assume that was supposed to be artisan instead.
May the Pasta be with you.

I like this version. It even includes firemaking (which was basically a dead skill before now) and alternate methods of training construction which was balls-difficult if you didn't have craptons of cash before. To those players complaining about boosting XP, the boost in XP rates will (hopefully) be balanced by the amount of time it takes to train the artisan levels up to achieve those better rates. This skill will just add a fun new way of playing the game.

I really appreciate the effort that you guys have gone through to make this skill feel both rewarding and balanced (we know that it's really hard!), and I know that most of the players feel the same way even if they aren't satisfied with a few things about the skill designs that you guys have come up with. I don't know if this skill will pass or not because the community can be very resistant to large changes (quite understandably), but you guys should know that your dedication to providing fun and balanced updates to your players is a shining beacon of hope in a world overwhelmed by short-sighted greed. Thanks!!!

It's called 2007 RuneScape; keep it that way. You just can't quit adding your little updates and soiling your games can you Jagex? You brought this back because people are sick of the over-updated catastrophe you call RuneScape 3. Do not change this game in ways that directly oppose the reason you put it out.

If you put this skill in, I'll quit. I swear to god.

It will not be Old School if you add this skill in.

Hello, my name is Jack. I have been playing runescape for 7 years now and I have really grown in to Runescape. But as Jagex has changed it over the years I and many others have started to dislike the game very much. I and others after the release of Runescape 3 ended up quiting the game. So that is why Jagex released Old School. That is what made me and others play the game again. All though the security of Runescape has never changed through the many updates that Jagex has made that people have disliked. So my question is, why do you keep adding all these updates into Old School? It is called Old School 2007 Runescape is it not? If I wanted modern updates I would play Runescape 3. I thought once you added in black party hats and Bronze (g) that was the vary limit. It's not Old School with that stuff in it. It's just another version of Runescape 3. This skill may look interesting for some people but I very passionetly disagree. If you want to add in updates that original RuneScape lovers want then head over to Runescape 3 because I want Old School. Not Runescape 3.1. If you want to add in updates then add in ones that make sense for Old School. Or just make your security better, why spend all that time on a new skill instead of the things that matter? I have gotten hacked multiple times in the past but you don't care. You just want big updates to re-ruin the game for all of us. I have been a member for about 6 years now and I will quit this game and end my membership if you just make this a second Runescape 3. A game that no one wants to play. Make good updates, like bot nukes, better account sucurty and what people want. Thank you for your time. I have proved my point. Good bye, and Jagex, if you add this skill in, good bye forever.

I voted yes for GWD. I voted yes for trading solution. I voted yes for nightmare zone. And for much more.

But I will vote no @ artisan. Nothing this skill seems to offer is giving me anything else than nausea.

Make the combination runes tradeable, or people with artisan levels will have advantages in combat. When hybridding on modern mage it's not really doable with 8+ rune spots. Would be great if everybody could buy doom runes and not just people who bother to do artisan.

Make a skill that makes people go in the wilderness.

Support. Sounds fun, but in all honestly, that won't happen :P .
