Sorry to say but i will be voting No also. To me an oldschool runescape skill would have to be well thought out and balanced, this seems to be neither of those.

The main thing that puts me off this skill is that it is really just a Minigame that utilises other skills.

Please offer an early poll asking if people want you to continue developing Artisan, as it could save countless hours of work which would be much better spent

I strongly agree with this. I also think they are wasting dev time on something that the community just doesn't want.

Im voting no, but if it passes 2h c bows need to be stronger than regular c bows like ya dumb or something dont want another dead content

I feel as though the teleport runes should cover any teleport spell in the normal spell book (excluding ape atol because you need a banana, however the teleport rune should still provide every other rune required for that spell)

If the teleport uses only 1 law but the rune counts for 2 then the rune should still be consumed

2 air runes??? most teleports if not all use 3, having a teleport rune seems pointless. May as well make tabs

The level requirement is also high, I think that's another reason to have it be more accomodating

I wouldn't be inclined to use a proclaimed teleport rune that couldnt teleport me on its own

I am +1 on the artisan skill, I look forward to it

I'm appalled by all the negative comments that don't actually give any feedback.

Firstly this is a huge improvement and I am a lot more convinced with this draft. Though in many ways I'm still sitting on the fence with things. For starters I like the idea of creating new ways to train skills, though I'm very much against any xp boost and so far I haven't seen 'much' of that. I would like to have a trial or beta period for the players to get a hands on experience.

I will say it again I like the idea, but I'm just scared that it will do more worse than good for the game because everyone is so scared of change in 07.

The main issue I see with this is that the high level masters will not be used. For example, Master Level 5 would assign to chop magic/yew logs, or mine rune/addy/mith, or fish sharks. This is very slow experience (and even taking into account gaining both the skill xp + artisan xp), it might be possible to use a lower level master to get faster artisan xp/hr (the main issue here is artisan xp/hr as training the individual skill would be faster separately then with artisan).

Hey everyone,

First off I would just like to thank Jagex for the effort they have put into this dev blog, it really shows how much they care about us and the game, so many thanks there.

Secondly I'd like to thank the player responsible for coming up with the Artisan Skill; I really appreciate that you came up with the idea and the effort you put into it.

Thirdly however; I do not think Artisan is a skill Old School Runescape needs, this truly is the technical kind of thing Runescape 3 needs, and probably will have one day (Sounds like the Inventor Skill). We just don't need a bunch of random items that boost XP/h by chance/standard. I don't support this Skill Dev, I'm truly sorry guys :(
