They could just allocate a server and send simple requests for adding/removing/updating offers. I don't see any reason for them to add code for each item (for whatever reason), if that would be the case, then it would take a lot more time adding/updating items, which is, programming wise, is highly ineffective.

They could do a lot of things. They haven't told us what they are doing, or how much of it is done. Until we get an update on the status from a JMod, we don't know where it's at besides the fact that we know it's not yet done, so they are still working on it. If it was as easy as you say it is, why not just have it banged out in a week and already in game? I'm thinking it's got to be much more in depth than you believe it to be.
Easy solutions are not necessary quick ones. Although what I have said sounds simple, but in reality it is not. I said that they have most likely finished designing it (for the most part), and awaiting for certain engine features to be added in order to finally complete and offer it to us. I didn't say it's easy/already done. But hey, you've got a point there, I can't tell anything for sure unless JMod confirms it, so you got me on that one.

Bringing website features into the game will make things more quicker and convenient for people (at least visually). I think it would be much quicker to click button in the game than opening browser and doing it there (for those who use clients).

2 minutes is 2 minutes, the lazy will be lazy, and over all, anecdotes are not statistics.

Besides, if these people are really too lazy to vote, do you think they'll ever read the dev blogs?
Of course they will not read dev. blog. And people voting without reading dev. blog is what I'm actually afraid of. It could be fixed by providing full dev. blog in the polling interface, but again, there are TL;DR people.

Easily the best artisan dev blog yet! I'm loving all the creative new ways of rewarding players with the new items, rather than just giving a flat out exp modifier.

I do have a couple of questions though:
Let's say that hypothetically, fishing tasks provided the best artisan exp/h, what would you do to prevent players who only leveled fishing to the appropriate level for a master, so that they could only get fishing artisan tasks, skipping out all the other ones?

Similarly, if gathering tasks were better exp/h than production tasks, would you give players an incentive to always to the production tasks, in order to get rid of all the raw materials that would be coming in****. You'd get more points for doing a production task than a gathering task. (Alternatively you could just make production tasks always faster experience, so that players can choose slower exp but more profit with gathering tasks, or faster exp but less profit by doing a mix of both.)

Thanks for reading :)

PS. Please don't make 2h crossbows like longbows, for the love of gosh, longbows were dead content before content was even alive, don't you dare go near that stuff.

Loved it all and definitely voting yes!

The only thing i would say is that the elm two handed crossbow is pointless; I feel it ought to require an armadyl crossbow + an elm 2 handed stock, which will hit sightly higher than the 1 handed armadyl crossbow, but you obviously don't have the defence of a shield.

Also, why are they named yew two-handed crossbow, when the 1 handed crossbow equivalent is named a rune crossbow, either make them a rune crossbow and a rune two-handed crossbow, or a yew crossbow and a yew two-handed crossbow.

In my opinion, Artisan should be the skillers Slayer, and only that. You dont craft a whole bunch of items from bones or enchance your loot in Slayer, and I don't see why we should in Artisan. I preffer Artisan as a dead simple skill, where you get your task of cutting 187 willow logs or mining 49 adamantite. You can have an enchanted gem-counterpart you can check your progress with, and visit your Artisan master when you are done.

From what I can tell the Artisan rewards and gear provide mostly insignificant perks to training the various skills; something I believe it should not. Slayer benefits combat training in way of the black mask/slayer helmet and offer unique slayer monsters to kill for as unique drops. Similarily, the Artisan should have a decent impact on not only skilling xp, but also money made from skilling. Slayer would not be such a popular skill if the sought out Abbysal Demon dropped Abbysal toothpicks.

If the majority of the community dont want a good alternative to Oldschools methods of skilling, please don't give us some useless skill where the rewards are Ugthanki dung.

This looks awesome!

As a ten year veteran, I'd vote yes for this skill.

Alot of refreshing new content, without overpowering anything we love in our game. I like how the items are all Artisan level specific, gives the skill alot of visible apparent benefits.

This would really encourage me to level those skills I naturally deter from out of old habit grinds.

With all these new clue rewards, and also upcoming possible new items, we should have an increase in bank space once again. 600 isn't enough at all. Instead on increasing the bank space little by little, can we just get an update to like 1k bankspace?

I'm not yet satisfied with the dev blog for this skill. After reading about 15 pages of comments so far I think the J mods have excellent feedback to take into consideration. Please don't rush in to adding a new skill and ***** up the game like when eoc came out. Take your time and don't be afraid if we have to wait till 2015 to get a skill the community is satisfied with.
