BTW, one thing that I find interesting, they also plan to release in-game polls. If they will poll Artisan AFTER they will release in game polls, then Artisan have a pretty big chance of passing. Because not everyone who plays OSRS even know that Polls/Dev Blogs exist. They will see "OMF NEW SKILL" vote yes.

Just a prediction.

That I have a hard time agreeing with. It's right on the main page, and anyone who knows about this game would know it was founded upon polling. I think the in game polling system will allow them to word questions better (and I'm hoping they take the opportunity to do so), but I don't think it will affect the general community sentiment.

I mean, currently, there is no work being done on the trading post because the engine team is working on it. :)

So you think that an entire new skill wouldn't take any work from the engine team, or that graphical rendering couldn't be done simultaneously for when the engine work is complete?

He meant that trading solution is already fully designed (zyb clone), but Artisan is lacking a lot more. So, they can't really do anything about Trading Post atm

If this is the case, I must have missed the Dev Blog saying so. Can you QFC me to it please?
You did not miss Dev Blog. It's plainly obvious. Just open interface, search item, pm a buyer/seller, meet, complete trade. As I said, Zyb clone. They don't really need to design it as it is already done by other people. Only things they need to determine is how to access the trading interface (button/allocated area).

I haven't seen any JMod word on it yet, so as far as I am concerned, it's a work in progress. Who knows if they have to code for every item in the game, or code to make it cross world. It could be far more in depth than your analysis.

~75% of my friend list don't read dev. blogs/take part in polls. They know it exists, they just don't care about it, because in their opinion it's unnecessary waste of time. Bringing polls into the game, however, can change things a lot. I think that even automatic trading system could've passed if the poll was held in in-game polling system.

They could just allocate a server and send simple requests for adding /removing /updating offers. I don't see any reason for them to add code for each item (for whatever reason), if that would be the case, then it would take a lot more time adding/updating items, which is, programming wise, is highly inefficient.

~75% of your friends list is statistically irrelevant. Even if this were not the case, if they are too lazy to take 2 minutes to click buttons on the main page, they'll be too lazy to spend 2 minutes clicking buttons in game.

Bringing website features into the game will make things more quicker and convenient for people (at least visually). I think it would be much quicker to click button in the game than opening browser and doing it there (for those who use clients).

They could do a lot of things. They haven't told us what they are doing, or how much of it is done. Until we get an update on the status from a JMod, we don't know where it's at besides the fact that we know it's not yet done, so they are still working on it. If it was as easy as you say it is, why not just have it banged out in a week and already in game? I'm thinking it's got to be much more in depth than you believe it to be.

2 minutes is 2 minutes, the lazy will be lazy, and over all, anecdotes are not statistics.

Besides, if these people are really too lazy to vote, do you think they'll ever read the dev blogs?
