The armor is rather useless. What kind of niche area are we aiming to fill? It's ONLY useful to Obby Tank accounts. Bandos is infinitely better with only 5 more defence levels on any other account.

For such a high level area, I'd like to see a level 75 power armor like Bandos. Similar to the stuff you were proposing on raids.

Maybe if you have the full armor AND cape it can give a bonus to all weapons? I dunno. It needs work.

It's middle tier melee gear...hardly considered a melee "buff"

There has also been plenty of other gear released, take rangers for example.
1. Twisted bow
2. Dragon hunter xbow
3. Heavy ballista
4. Light ballista

Totally agree ScapeRune. The fight caves could use 20-30 waves less.

I hope everything passes poll because this looks like some awesome content.

A upgrade to what's already the best cape in the game is hardly "middle tier".

The range gear released doesn't compare to the number of updates melee has gotten, and apparently continue to get.

Here's some update comparisons:

Melee

Abyssal bludgeon=BIS crush dps, BIS str xp
Abyssal dagger= next to best str xp
D claws=BIS PvP spec weapon other than g maul
D warham=BIS PvM spec
Arclight=BIS vs demons
Elder maul=BIS flinching weapon, PvP alternative to gs smack combos

I've excluded dragon sword due to limited usefullness.

Range

Blowpipe=BIS general PvM dps
Ballista=BIS range pvp wep
dragon throw axe= PvP range combo wep
Dragon cbow=BIS vs dragons
Twisted bow=BIS PvM bow

Mage

Trident=BIS mage PvM dps, only weapon that can't be used in PvP
Kodai wand=SoTD v2 that can autocast ancients
Kodai=equivalent to what melee/range already has

I've excluded things like eternals, anguish, etc as melee has them too. Keep in mind that I'm also excluding things like sara tear, tentacle, and crystal hally. Know what those have in common? Yeah, they're melee.
OSRS Mage Tank.


Believe magic to only be for support? Think again. It's just as valid of a Pking style as melee and range is.

I don't have a Fire Cape myself, but it does seem sensible for the Infernal Cape to be an upgrade from the Fire Cape in every way, so idk why the prayer bonus is lower on the Infernal Cape.

Also, regarding the Lava Eels. Are they the same as the Lava Eels currently in the game? If so, why does it require 80 fishing and why would anyone choose to fish these over Barbarian Fishing?

the new cape should have at least the same prayer as firecape for sure. i would even want to push it to +6 prayer to match the ardounge cloak 4, so that a diary reward doesn't compete with the reward from a top tier pvm challenge (except for stab bonus i guess, but with 8 str, 6 stab seems meh)

the armor does seem useless honestly. i was stoked about this armor when it was first teased and talked about, but at its current state its seems like it doesn't serve a real purpose. its just a lesser version of things that already exist, but with a huge drawback, and the only gain being a 5 defense level difference (and presumably price eventually).

what i thought the armor was going to be when it was teased; was a set with very similar defensive stats you have on it, however with some middle ground (not too small, yet not ground breaking) melee attack stats. i think that would offer a unique perspective at that tier, and if balanced right could make people think about using it over bandos on weaker monsters that wont damage you much. it has also bothered me that attack stats aren't really present on any melee armor except helms.

also when do we get to talk about the slayer master? QAs have heavily suggested there will be a zeah slayer master there, and i also recall an idea of a slayer master that you build/shape the task list for. this would fit so well with the area and their "slayer based society". have been very giddy of that idea...

The problem with the fight caves is it takes way too long (for anyone not maxed/best gear), and then you get next to no reward if you don't succeed. Some of us players don't have several straight hours to grind a minigame and then mess us at the last second and end up with no (or minimal) reward.

I plan to vote 'no' to The Inferno.
